I don’t know this author, but I liked the cover and the title so auto bought it without reading a review or the blurb and just started reading... oh wow oh wow ... ‘Every Other Weekend’ by Jaxson Kidman is fantastic. Jordyn is a single mother trying to get along with the ex for the sake of the child. She is struggling to keep it together financially while still partially dealing with the demons that broke up her relationship.
Jordyn is a phenomenal mother but finds herself wanting just to escape her reality for a few hours. That escape comes in the form of a man named Ramsey... they are drawn to each other...
Enter Ramsey who is floating through life after causing heartache in his past. He doesn't feel he deserves more than the life he currently lives. Ramsey lets himself fall under the spell that is Jordyn while she slowly lets down her shield. It’s pretty special just watching their relationship reveal itself...
This couple was so real. Living out real life problems. Jordan is a fierce heroine and Ramsey is not your typical Alpha as he is just as fragile as he is strong. The supporting characters were exceptional. Aunt Millie and Uncle Tom were definitely good for a laugh and a bit of wisdom. I dont think I can put in words how good this is... just read it.. 5 Stars...
I waited so long for this book to be published and it was so worth it. Jaxson Kidman has delivered another masterpiece! I loved Jordyn's devotion to her son Sam and her willingness to help him keep in touch with his father Keith, even though you couldn't help but hate him. Ramsey stole my heart, I adored him! He had a tragic past, but his protectiveness and love for Jordyn brought tears to my eyes. I would love to see what happens in the future, not only to Ramsey, Jordyn and Sam, but to Aunt Millie and Uncle Tom, the backbone of the family, and to Matt, Nora and Chris. I felt part of this family and went through everything with them and that's because of the wonderful ability Jaxson Kidman has when writing these brilliant stories. He never ever disappoints.
Another stellar book by Jaxson Kidman. This book is full of the struggles of real people and the challenges faced everyday by parents whether single or partnered. Jordyn is a strong character, a single mother who has vulnerabilities and Ramsey is a guy with a past and his own issues. Sam is Jordyn's son and is a well written character in his own right. Jordyn's ex Keith has issues as well which caused him to be the ex and he is still working on. Jaxson Kidman has an amazing talent with words that bring out emotions and his characters are always relatable. Highly recommend this book and all of his are 5 stars to me.
