This author is a one click for me. I always enjoy her books and this one was no exception different. Wendy was amazing, sassy, sweet, talented and fierce. She was exactly what Hunter and Ben needed. Hunter is the hot alpha billionaire that you just have to love. Some really good support characters, Ben being my absolute favourite. There is some crazy family antics, some father/son issues to work through as well as a bit of a mystery to keep you engaged. However, Wendy, Hunter and Ben all get their HEA. I love that the Heroine has a role in saving the day and not just the Hero. It’s a well written story with good editing. Only a couple of cons, I do think that after all the build up of how Wendy’s family treats her especially since she is the one earning the money yet they don’t listen to her ideas that she deserved more reward like the bakery being given to her or her own cake business or something. Also for the smart guy that Hunter is and how close he was to his twin, I would have thought he would have started to see that Sloane was a bit of a douchebag even if he didn’t get the full picture. Enjoyable and engaging read.
I received a copy of this book from Booksprout and I voluntarily leave my review. Wendy is driving her van to deliver a cake for a retirement party the man’s son Blake is the boy that stood her up at prom and took her friend instead, that was years ago but Wendy is still angry about it and to make things worse Blake married Heather. Now on her way to deliver the cake a boy on a skateboard doesn’t look where he is going and Wendy has to swerve the van so she doesn’t hit the boy, but the cake fell on the floor and is now ruined. The boy’s father stops behind her van and when he gets out Wendy’s eyes nearly bug out of her head when she see’s him he’s gorgeous and built like a tank, you could tell that he has money and he gives Wendy his card and said that he will pay for her damages. Hunter is a single father of a teenager when he gets Ben home Ben hardly says two words to him which makes Hunter angry then Hunter smiles at the reminder of the little spitfire that stood up to him and no one stands up to him, she insults him about being rich but that doesn’t bother him he just can’t get this woman out of his head. That’s all I’m going to give you guys but there is so much more to this story I loved it, it’s a fantastic story a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
Wendy is the poor little sister that everyone worries about she never has a date and her e is her sisters wedding (the princess) coming up and once again she has no date, it doesn't worry her but it sure worries her mother and sister. When a cake she is delivering is destroyed by a skate board riding teen (Ben) she meets Hunter the father of said teen. He is gorgeous and before she knows it he is her date for the wedding. Hunter has a lot on his plate with his business and his son and he really doesn't have time for romance but he just can't forget Wendy and when things go wrong he really has to work to get her back
i was given a copy of this book but this is a true and honest review
firstly, my thanks to the author for an advanced copy in return for an honest review.
I loved it, great writing style and really engaging characters. some of it was a little cliched and there were times when I really thought Hunter needed a swift kick in the rear end but overall the story has a bit of everything and is a sweet romance. you have the sexy alpha male billionaire single dad and the sweet & sassy baker and several storylines to keep the action moving.
Wow this book was amazingly written. Once I started I couldn’t put it down till I was finished. This book has twists and turns you don’t know what’s happening. will they all get there happily ever after or will it all go wrong. To find out what happens go buy the book. You won’t be disappointed I wasn’t.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Hunter doesn't ask, the man demands, and his demands are acted upon!!! This is a very entertaining book, it was full of passion and mystery, the characters just seemed to combust! I now will have to read the rest of the series. I really loved this book, I fell in love with Hunter the man took care of what was his.
