I am enjoying the second generation of true mates in this series. Darius is seemingly from the wrong side of the tracks as part of the family. He saves Adrianna’s life before he knew who she was and also knew she was his mate. He tries to keep his uncle out of things and eventually everything blows up in his face. The attraction between Darius and Adrianna is hot and they eventually act on this. I am loving the second generation as much as the first series and will have a true mates marathon when it’s all finished. I reviewed an arc copy of this book with no obligation to leave a review.
Not one of my favourites from this author. Intriguing to see what is happening with the next generation but this one just didn’t grab me like book one did. Whilst I enjoyed this story, I found it easy to put down as it was quite obvious from the beginning how this was going to play out. The ending to me was anti climatic. This is my honest review of this book kindly given to me but read through Kindle Unlimited.
I had been eagerly awaiting this second instalment of the new gen. I had happened upon the first one by accident and after reading it had proceeded to go back to first gen books in the series. With the improved understanding and background I was able to really enjoy this book and the rich world built by Alicia. Both the main characters were flawed but strong and the chemistry between them was developed without being rushed. Loved the family dynamics for both of them. Really good read and looking forward to the next one in the series
