This book started extremely well. Gundi gave us her credentials; why we should believe that she has the goods. No boasting. Probs there could have been a bit more boasting, because she's obviously very good at what she does. And then it got better.
There were some disclaimers and fast-track info at the beginning and that was really great. Then we get into the monumental number of 23 blueprints as she calls them, I think of them more as strategies. They are fabulous, and cover all skill levels; some I found a little complicated for my old man brain, others were quite simple and I thought, “Why haven't I figured this out before?” But that’s why we need books like this, isn’t it?
In most cases acronyms and jargon words are described, often multiple times, but occasionally I needed to refer back in the book to find out to what they referred. In this kind of book, where it is often taken in bite size bits, in my opinion, pretty much every acronym and jargon word needs to be explained in every blueprint/strategy.
There were at least a couple of times when I thought, “Well yeah. How do you do that?” One of them was ‘covers’ in the best seller strategy. I still don't know where/how to get great covers generated. Perhaps I’ll catch that on one of my next few reads. And there will be more reads. Oh, and the plural of software is software, softwares is not a real word.
We’re told you must have a great title or a great hook or a great sentence etc, but we're sometimes not given real world examples. Lots more actual suggestions would be fabulous.
Most of the comments in the book are linked to further information in the form of courses, videos, books etc. That is amazingly fantastic. There are so many I will need to go back 4 or 5 times to get all the golden nuggets. It is SO FULL of good (no great) stuff, I can’t believe it.
I loved the writing style too. It was clever, educational, sassy even, and kept me barrelling on through the copy even when I had a little difficulty understanding the concepts, which wasn't often. It was just so easy to read; I felt like I was sitting in a nice cool bar with Gundi, just shooting the breeze.
These blueprints or strategies are mindbogglingly fabulous. I am going to be taking some of these pages, printing them, and sticking them on my wall. I just can't believe how exciting this book is. I've been forced to stop reading several times, to consider the ramifications of some of the strategies with what I am doing in my life right now.
I see so much potential in things that I am already doing, that can be expanded using the principles in this book. I am so pumped, I'm going to have to read it again.
Oh and if there is one word to take away from this book, it is "Research".
The ideas are certainly eye-opening and made me think about the online business world in new ways. I particularly appreciate the step-by-step guides, and that the author is refreshingly honest about any potential downsides. It became clear to me the author actually wants readers to succeed and engages them at that level, instead of the barrage of 'blue sky' information so common in this genre.
An excellent book by an author who is very obviously on top of her game, taking her own advice and winning with it, and encouraging others to do the same.
I read this book because I was interested in the couple of possibilities that I already knew about, and wanted to learn more about them.
Gundi is generous with information. She gives a lot of clear, honest explanations of the various ways to make passive income. The best thing for an artsy person like myself is that the book reads like you're sitting down for coffee with a very knowledgeable friend. There's no jargon to navigate. I'm not familiar with business lingo, so that was important to me. There are also no ridiculous claims that a million dollars can be made overnight, or in some cases, ever - which is refreshing.
The book is a bit of a page-turner if you're as amazed by the number of ways passive income can be made, like I was. I found I skim read over it, goggle-eyed about the plethora of blueprints, then came back to the one or two I am interested in, and re-read them thoroughly. Which I will do again.
You're probably only going to actually use the particular sections of the book that resonate with your interests, but it's good to be aware of the passive income landscape, and Passive Income Freedom will certainly raise your awareness, and if you're like me, your eyebrows too.
This is an honest, thorough overview for getting started with passive income.
I’ve read one of the author’s books before, and got a lot from it, so was keen for this one. I don’t wholly enjoy the author’s extremely chatty writing style, but know that information found within is ultra-authorative. In this book I must admit I was expecting the normal spiel on creating passive content like lead magnet ebooks and then ramping up with more offers. Instead, right from the first of the 23 areas I was informed of areas of business I had absolutely no knowledge of. Not just informed, but given the steps and links to all the websites, how to do things and how to select for my own skill levels. This isn’t a book you can read in one sitting - only read one or two of these, then take a rest before searching on. And a lot of these aren’t very passive either - to set them up will require work, but exciting and creative work. Inside you will find an opportunity for passive income to fit your own talents, skills and needs. Go get it.
Gundi writes in a very personable style...'just like a good blogger' she says in this book. It truly feels like Gundi is sitting with me at the kitchen table (wearing a pink dress and possible holding a pink pen) chatting to me about how to make 23 Passive income Blueprints work for me...I feel like she is taking me by the hand and walking with me along those stepping stones. And it's NOT scary at all!! For people like me who chose to do Geography rather than Economics in Secondary School and who think that SEO...or was it ESO??? is the name of a city in an exotic Oriental location, this book shines as brightly as a freshly faceted diamond. Just waiting for me to pick it up. I have already begun taking videos on my iPhone and looked up top-selling concepts on several large image banks online... This is a gem of a book that I will return to again and again. I cannot thank the author enough for her practical step by step guidelines, her simplification of business language into readable material, her wonderful sense of humour and her Sassy Zen Girl style of writing. This book deserves way more than 10 stars.
I’ve read the author’s book on eBook publishing and loved it. So I expected a lot from this one. And it delivered! Gundri presents a range of ideas that presents them with humor, clarity and optimism. These passive income ideas are not covered in great detail, and I expected that. However, there is enough information to start the ball rolling, and to prompt further investigation. So this books is just right - not too simple, and not too complicated.
This book is filled with a treasure of ideas. Gundi is practical and has done much of the research for you. I love that it is easy to read and it really gets you thinking about possibilities. This is a great resource for anyone who wants to do something different.
