Phillipa and Fritz have a duty to their country and as Royals are expected to adhere to those traditions. Now that Phillipa’s father the King has passed on, it’s her duty to rule and take a man to rule with her. When she’s scared off all her suitors, an unlikely suitor steps forward and so begins a beautiful love story😍
This book has all the feels and had me breaking out into goosebumps in quite a few places😀 Loved this couple and the humour they had with respect to their past history and how they brought it up. Also loved Fritz, that even though he’s portrayed as one thing, he’s something else altogether 😍
Novela, 'A Crown for Christmas' by Rachel Van Dyken was a very sweet, funny, enemies-to-lovers, contemporary fairytale. Princess Phillipa was a beautiful, strong and confident character destined to become queen. The glitch was...marriage was required for her to take the crown when sadly, her beloved father died. Gorgeous and cheeky Prince Fitz was the last candidate for 'husband' when others had fled the spiky princess. He appeared nonchalant, but was actually smart, deep and wonderful. Anyway, to further complicate matters, these two had despised one another from childhood, so sparks flew in their scenes together - very funny and cute, but at times, touching, too. Phillipa and Fritz's romance was a slow and tantalising one with an HEA. Rachel wrote in a lyrical style which suited the genre and it was written for the YA demographic, but had appeal for all ages. Charming and unapologetically sentimental - a great Christmas read.
