Adriana has done it again with this sweet , fun and sexy small town romance. Dogwood lane is full of so many fun , loveable characters you want to move there. Haley is fun , feisty and has a tendency to fall in love easily. She has made a bet with her cousin that she can't date. But then sexy Trevor who doesn't believe in love walks into town and steals her donut . Can they resist each other? Can Haley have a fling with Trevor and not fall in love? The book sucked me in and filled me with joy. Can't wait for the next visit to Dogwood Lane
I had previously read the first book in this series, and I was excited to see that Adriana was releasing the next book because the people of the Dogwood Lane are awesome.
Wet met Hayley previously because she was Mia's Nanny, assisting Dane while he raised her. So this time, it's her chance at a happily ever after and for us to get to know her.
I really liked Hayley and enjoyed watching her trying to work out how she wants her life to go and to value herself without having a guy attached to her, and instantly falling love, as she's had a habit of in the past.
The moment we meet Trevor, we know he's going to be the one to push her with her new resolutions. He's a great character, a really sweetie, with his own issues he needs to deal with. The bond and chemistry between these two is great, and I really enjoyed watching them get to know one another and learn about themselves at the same time.
There are also some great secondary characters in this, in the form of our faves from Dogwood Lane and also some of Trevors family.
This was a really fun read, and I found myself trying not to laugh out loud in public when I was reading at certain times. Full of humour and chemistry, I would definitely recommend this one.
4.5 stars! There was so much to love about this book, both Haley and Trevor are fantastic characters, their banter is hilarious and the chemistry is palpable between them. While the storyline is a somewhat common one, it was done well and wasn’t stale or boring in the least. And Penn was the star of the show, I hope we get a book about him soon!
If you havent read this wonderful ladies writing you really need to. Every book I read, it feels like I'm there watching it all play out. So beautifully written. Every book sucks me in. I loved Trevor but my heart will always belong to Lincoln Landry. Swear to god people, pick up all of this lady's book's. Ox
