Eight more wonderful stories about the people in the village of Upper Nettlefold, all centered around a Christmas Ball held by the Duke of Kilmerstan. These authors manage to weave events from the other books into each story so that the reader can discover how the lives of their own characters affect others. Lots of ups and downs in each book, with a few twists and a little intrigue, make for interesting reading. The stories are well-written and kept my interest from start to finish. I highly recommend this collection.
A collection of stories centred around the village of Upper Nettlefold and the Christmas ball held by the Duke of Kilmerstan. All easy, clean, love-at-first-sight reads.
I didn't find the stories as good as the first collection. None of the stories had any real depth to the characters and the story lines weren't that interesting or engaging. Most of them were light, fluffy and easy to read. A good collection for a young adult perhaps. There were little to no typos and some good knowledge of the Regency times and behaviours. Other than that, I didn't find that there was much else to recommend these stories. Read if you want to find out more about the Upper Nettlefold residents, but don't expect too much.
