Jacob Chance has done it again with another fantastic book that made me fall in love with the characters of the Boston Terriers world! Owen and Eliza are just so great, I just know everyone else will fall in love with them too.
Owen is the captain of the football team, but after a mistake his world starts to spiral out of control. Owen is such a great character, he is real, he shows his emotions which I just love. He is so sweet and caring towards Eliza, he seriously is the perfect guy!
Eliza has been hurt big in the past, which clouds her judgement in the future. She has a secret, well a couple of them actually. She is academic and is set to help Owen with the school work he has missed. Can Eliza resist Owen’s charm?
I really really loved this book. It is probably my favourite from the Boston Terrier world. I really REALLY want to know more about Jameson as well, so I hope he is in the future. As well as Nolan! All the characters in this world are just so great, Mr Chance certainly knows how to write a book that will keep you intrigued with everyone! This book actually made me tear up a couple of times, It is packed with so much emotion that I could feel it all. I seriously love this book and I hope you do too.
The Boston Terrier Series just keeps on getting better with each release and Jacob Chance absolutely nailed this one. It was both brilliantly written and at times was completely unexpected but in the best way possible.
I believe Jock to be THE BEST Book to date for Jacob, he has very quickly secured himself as a brilliant sports romance writer who is not above giving us way more than expected with each Release.
When Owen needs a tutor and the Dean of the school fixes him up with one of the schools best students Eliza Michel who just happens to be his niece not even he would have been prepared for the sparks that flew between these two. Their story is far from conventional and the details are nothing short of pure genius, I was hooked from the very first page till the last.
I love an Epilogue and the extended one was beyond amazing.
I love this book. Fantastic leads, cleverly written with a flawless storyline. Highly recommended read.
The latest of Jacob's Boston Terriers Series is probably the best one yet. I have always loved Owen in Coach and was not disappointed on how he was portrayed in this book. I am very surprised at how little football was discussed in this book and instead focused on Owen and Eliza's relationship, quite a change from the others in the series. With that being said, Jock is funny as hell, endearing and has an added sweetness (not to mention there's a bit of Christmas theme going on) that makes it worth reading. There's nothing like a Jacob Chance book to get you out of a reading slump and want to start over again!
Oh Owen freaking Dawson... your remorseful attitude after that big as reveal in the opening chapter - got me feeling some true redemption!
I really enjoyed this sweet read. Jacob Chance really knows how to get his heroes on point! Dawson after everything in the beginning, was such a great character to read about. His true nature and the progress of his character was awesome. Eliza was great - though I had a couple of things I had a problem with in regards to ‘her’ only, her own remorsefulness in the end was good!!
This book covered a lot of great things that is so vital and important in life. Especially when it comes to our actions and how it could affect others!!!
Sometimes, we need to remember that our actions have consequences. Good and/or bad. Our actions could either be a blessing or unknowingly and/or unintentionally hurt others. Either way, there’s consequences to every choice we make. So JC’s writing in this reminded me of that.
One-Click this Keep up with JC’s books. Glad I volunteered to read an arc for an honest review... Enjoyed getting to know Owen and how he went about scoring that HEA he deserved. Would have been a 5 star for me if it wasn’t for how Eliza dealt with a couple of things. But still, this was great!!!
Story line was good, characters were solid, I loved the names! I liked the story but felt it lacked a little punch... maybe a little more depth.
Some of the issues in this story I thought were maybe not resolved in an accurate way, and it made me believe a little less I suppose.
I hoped there would have been more sport parts or recovery parts to show not just his relationship with Eliza, but also getting himself back to top shape so he could play again.
It was a book recommended by a friend and I can honestly say it was cute.
