The next instalment of the Bootleg Springs series delivers another swoony love story this time centering on Bowie & Cassidy.
Is there anything better then a good guy doing all he can to be a better guy? Bowie Bodine is in love with Cassidy Tucker. There’s no denying that; except maybe to himself.
This is a beautiful story of wanting. Two people destined to be together kept apart by perceptions and misunderstandings.
I really enjoyed the treatment Lucy Score gave this story. I was rooting for the couple from the first page.
As is expected in this Lucy Score & Claire Kingsley collaboration the secondary characters and town itself plays a huge role in the humour of the story. Gram-Gram and Scarlett definitely steal the scenes they are in.
We learn a whole lot more about the disappearance of Callie Kendall in this story and the mystery deepens.
I highly recommend this series to those looking for swoony love stories set in a likeable town with a touch of mystery.
I am eagerly awaiting the next installation Bourbon Bliss featuring Cassidy’s sister, June in January.
Another instalment from Bootleg Springs that is full of humour, sass and our favourite quirky characters. Lucy’s writing just brings the characters and the town alive. I couldn’t put down the story of Bowie and Cassidy, it gripped me from start to finish. I laughed a lot, had some emotional moments then laughed some more. Looking forward to the next in this superb series. Loved it.
I am a sucker for Bowie and Cassidy. This was my introduction to the series and it didn't disappoint. A love story wrapped in a mystery or two. How could you resist that potent combo. Cassidy and Scarlett had a few interactions that had me in stitches laughing. Everytime I reread I fall in love with the story, the characters and the home town a bit more.
Moonshine Kiss is the third book in the Bootleg Springs series, and this story focuses on Cassidy Tucker and Bowie Bodine. Best friends with Scarlett, Cassidy grew up with Bowie and he was always her end game, she was just waiting to be old enough for him to notice her as more than his little sister's best friend. She was devastated when he brushed her off. Cassidy is at the stage in her life when she has given up on men and accepted that cats are going to be her happily ever after.
Poor Bowie. He so badly wants what he can't have. And he further tortures himself by moving next door to Cassidy. This book is very funny at times, but it also has the mystery element that started in the first book - the ongoing mystery and investigation into the disappearance of Callie Kendall. Cassidy can't help but feel conflicted about her closeness to the Bodine family and strong attraction to Bowie, and how that could affect her job as Deputy and the continuing investigation.
Next up in the series is June. She's so quirky and hilarious. Her book is definitely going to have lots of LOL moments.
Back to Bootleg Springs, back to more intriguing mystery in the case of missing teenager Callie and lots of hot sexy moments between Bowie Bodine and Cassidy Tucker and you have another fabulous addition to the series. A second chance for Bowie and Cassidy - Bowie just wants her but doesn't believe he is good enough for her and Cassidy is struggling between her secret romance with Bowie and keeping her job as a police officer with the ongoing mystery or missing Callie and the fact that Bodine Snr could possibly be involved. You can't get enough of this series and I am waiting with bated breath to find out how the mystery pans out and what really happened that fateful night. Bowie and Cassidy are both stubborn with a whole lot of hurts and misunderstandings. Is their love strong enough to overcome those hurts. Be sure to add this to your TBR.
A welcome return to Bootleg Springs, the unconventional townsfolk and the irrepressible Bodine's. I stayed up half the night to finish Bowie and Cassidy’s story, such a fun read I could not put it down. Waiting with baited breath for Book 4 to see what is in store for the Bodine clan and their friends . . . and more on the Callie Kendall mystery. You’ve knocked it out of the park again Lucy and Claire!
I love everything Lucy writes and this was no exception. As soon as her email told me it was released, I downloaded and devoured it as soon as I could. Bowie and Cassidys’ story was delicious to tangle up in and I hated knowing it was coming to a close. Can’t wait for the next one.
