Lane Parker has given us yet another great read with this great Christmas novella. I started this book and could not put it down to the end I was hooked to the very end. Hayden was someone a felt a small connection with I grew up I also didn’t like my body and the image I had about myself. I received an ARC copy that I have decided to write my honest and voluntary review.
Hayden had had the same recurring dream since she was 21 years-old at Christmas time. “A dream of Him” “He was dark haired.” “And he was enormous and muscular.” I didn’t know who he was but I knew how he made me feel. Loved, Protected, Wanted, Needed, like I was beautiful to him.
After her recent break up with her boyfriend, she decided to go away for Christmas after a very helpful Santa gave her some advice.
Jackson Gillette was a successful football player but as a child, he was Ridiculed, Bulled and shunned so he was never able to trust others with how he really was. But the moment he laid eyes on Hayden he knew she was the one. The one for him.
Oh wow this book was just perfect, romantic, hot, steamy and sprinkle in christmas and you cannot ask for more. I absolutly loved the whole dream connection it was a magical twist on an already magical story.
Not sure why this is billed as "panty melting". It's ok, but not gripping; I was waiting for the big reveal, but there never was one. Jackson was mildly psychic - so what? Not sure what the fuss was about.
A Christmas Dream was a short holiday novella by Lane Parker. It was the first book I’ve read by the author.
Hayden Longmont was getting over another humiliating breakup with a loser boyfriend. She was smart, funny, tall, big boned and curvy and so far no man had appreciated anything about her except her money. She was done with men for a while so she decided to live in her fantasy dream, a dream that occurred at Christmas every year for the past ten years.
Jackson Gillette was massive from his time as an NFL lineman. He was familiar with being used for his money and social status so he had always been cautious and not looking for more. That changed the moment he first saw Hayden.
I loved this short and sweet insta-love novella. It was a total “feel goods” read with a few quick twists - perfect for a fast holiday read.
Hayden and Jackson's story, A Christmas Dream by Lane Parker, is a wonderfully woven story about love and acceptance. Hayden--a big, curvy girl, has longed to be accepted for who and what she is, and not for what her money can provide.
Hayden dreams of a man who can make her feel worthy, something that her parents never made her feel, and in her slumber, she meets such a man.
Jackson has been looking forever for a girl who features prominently in his dreams. Faceless, he was nearly at the point of giving up when fate intervened, and he crosses paths with Hayden. The rest, of course, is a happily ever after worthy of the magic of Christmas!
J.S. Scott, writing as Lane Parker, proves once again why she is a New York Times, Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author. Notwithstanding the fact that J.S. Scott was one of the first authors that got me hooked on ebooks, I can honestly say that her stories are always a pleasure to read. Different plots, different genres, I enjoy her work because she is meticulous when she writes. And of course, her Sinclairs are to die for!
I really enjoyed this book. My only complaint is that it was very short so a lot of things happened very quickly. This book wasn't crazy on the erotic side which was nice and there even was a touch of paranormal in it that was surprising but welcome. I really enjoyed the story and would have absolutely LOVED it if it had been a fully fleshed out book. As it was it was an enjoyable read which took me back to the Christmas season since I read it for the first time in March. I recommend this book of you like a touch of heat and paranormal with your romance novellas.
I it feels like it's written by an amateur which has an overuse of italics. The book leaves you hanging and entices you to continue reading a book series. Unfortunately those books are written under 100 words. For me it was disappointing.
Hayden is a big curvy girl and she knows it. Having just been dumped again by a loser boyfriend she is determined to get her head on straight and live for herself. For the past 10 years and just wishes for a man to love her like that. She meets Jackson her next door neighbor and now Jackson is determined to show her she is beautiful! Maybe a little Christmas magic is just what Hayden needs to believe!
When dreams come true, you have to believe in a higher power. When Haydens sister encouraged her to take a vacation after a break up she never expected to experience anything like Jackson. For over ten years she had the same dream at Christmas time, never would she have expected that dream to become a reality. It's nice to read about a curvy girl rather than a stick figure finding her own hot man. This was a great quick story that leaves you with hope and wet panties.
