Brilliant concepts, dynamic and alive characters. A fantastic narrative that is absolutely fascinating. I loved the different take on litrpg mechanics, it was very refreshing. I can't wait for the next novel. The negative was; that it rambles at times. Almost like an old english style of narrative that woffles in places. Kind of like Authur Conan Doyle or other writers from that period. An example is a multi page discussion on classes.. or early dialogue between characters. While at the time this was a little off-putting and I skipped pages, I have to say the this novel more than made up for it in other ways. If I was to summarise in a word it would be "brilliant."
This is a well written book filled with plenty of adventure. The game world is well imagined with an original slant on character development that doesn’t rely on the usual stat and skill sheets. The MC is likeable and in spite of being way overpowered right from the start it’s good to see not everything falls into his large lap.
