A.L. Jackson has once again written the perfect romance story. ALL OF ME had everything in it that a great story demands: emotional, intense, perfect but flawed characters, passion, a sexy hot dirty mouthed male and an equally sweet woman who just wants to find love. Oh and don't forget those adorable kids.
Ian first appeared in More Of You, book one in the Confessions Of The Heart series. Ever since then I have wanted to read his story. An intense man whose past contains many dark secrets and a huge amount of pain, but a past that has also made him the man that he is now. This is a man who believes he is undeserving of love or anything beautiful in his life, but when a certain beauty captures his attention his views begin to slowly alter.
Grace, I loved her. She was the complete opposite to Ian. She was full of life, willing to open her heart, fiercely protective, yet there was an underlying vulnerability that just made me want to reach out and hug her.
Put these two together and you have the perfect story. Instantaneous chemistry, which both stubbornly fight, a real push and pull relationship comprising of plenty of heartache. There's lust, sex and love, but also suspense and mystery in their story to keep the pages rapidly turning.
Yet again Ms Jackson has made me fall in love with her characters and her writing. Throw in all the emotions you can possibly experience and you will be completely lost in this story.
All of Me by A.L. Jackson is the second book in her latest series, Confessions of the Heart . A standalone story that will pull you in from the first steamy encounter between Grace and Ian to the very last page of the epilogue. PULL YOU IN DEEP!!! Emotional, angsty, filled with tension (both sexual and suspenseful), and heart-breaking all at once. The emotions, the motives of the characters, the secondary characters - all of it was amazing!
Grace has a mission and she will do whatever it takes to achieve her end goal. What she never expected or even knew she needed was the love and help of Ian. An encounter with him that fires off all kinds of warnings doesn't stop her from being intrigued and hooked despite all she can do to not be.
Ian has a plan for his life and he is one-step away from achieving everything he wanted. When a chance encounter with a breathtaking beauty leaves him chasing his "broken Cinderella" and ignoring his own internal warnings to stay away he realizes that what he has means nothing without someone to share it with. He just never thought that he would be one to change his goals and share his life, but it turns out, for Grace - he will do just about anything!
Loved it! I'm still thinking about this book a week later, and if you read my reviews you can see that I churn through books pretty quick - reading enjoying and then moving on. All of Me is still floating around in my brain - Ian and Grace are still taking up some headspace. So worth the read! Enjoy!
I can't begin to tell you, in a review, how this book has affected me. It was so wonderfully written, the characters are just perfect, although flawed in many ways, but you just couldn't help but love them. This is the second book in Confessions Of The Heart series and it seriously blew my mind, captured my heart and made it beat just that little bit faster while reading Grace and Ian's story.
Ian, what a wonderfully complex character. He bought out more emotions in me than I could ever imagine. A broken man with a horrible abusive past, believing he is worthless and deserves nothing but what fate is dealing him, that is until he meets Grace. What a beautiful soul Grace is, patient, giving, loyal but she is in deep trouble and needs help fast.
I believe A. L. Jackson has excelled herself with this story; don't get me wrong all of the books I have read by this author have been a joy to read, but this one was very special. It has everything you could ever want in a book, which made it perfect for me. There was angst and twists galore, nail-biting moments that had me holding my breath in anticipation, as well as despair, guilt, love, hate and so many overwhelming moments that made me gasp and cry, that at times my heart felt so full it was ready to burst. Yes, it was that good.
This is without a doubt my top read for 2018. It is an absolutely phenomenal work by this very talented author and not one to be missed !!!
