The depth of description in this book makes you feel as though you are living the story with the characters she sets the tone of the regency period so well you can almost hear the taffeta rustling
Noelle is the eldest of five daughters of the Duke and Duchess of Salisbury her family expect her to marry well in fact she is expected to marry in the peerage her parents are pushing for her to marry Lord of Fairfax but when her second sister elopes with him she has to find a new beau. She really likes Roderick Edwards a man of means that lives near by they are firm friends but he is a commoner will her family allow a marriage between them. Will this lady of the peerage get a chance to marry for love and will Roderick perseverance pay off You need to read to see.
Although not a "cannot put down book" it captivated me. We were travelling when I started this book and I stopped reading and went to another book. So glad I did. When we came home I sat down with a cuppa and restarted the book. Really enjoyable. Relaxing yet somehow enchantingly captivating.
