I have to say bayou and Phoebe wasn't what I expected, the blurb was a little misleading but it only added to the excitement and I enjoyed every minute of this book. Usually you're watching one of the main characters fighting the chemistry or breaking up during the story. This story? Yeah they fight their attraction but it's a story of real unconditional love and complete acceptance. I have loved every single book by LLV but this one really and truly does take the cake. It's fast paced but acceptable as the characters have history. Brielle is a wild card and I'm a little disappointed that you don't get to see more of her or what happens to change her in the epilogue. I cannot wait for the next book.
Phoebe and Bayou met at a Club party when they were both teenagers. Bayou is a bit different to everyone else, but when Phoebe stands up for him, he takes notice and starts to make changes in his life. Fast forward eight years, he is completely different to how he was as a teenager, but some things haven’t changed. Phoebe never forgot Bayou as a fifteen year old and now that he’s back in her life because of Pru and Hoax, things come to a head!
Wonderful story and absolutely loved the ending😀 Looking forward to Zee next❣️
I love Lani Lynn Vale. Her books are awesome they keep you so engrossed in the story that one minute you're on chapter one the next your reading the epilogue. This book resonated with me on so many levels i could relate to it so much because the subject matter is close to my heart. Bayou and Pheoby story was one full of exceptance amd understanding. The heart wants what it wants no matter age creed or disability. I highly recommend this book. It was written beautifully and Lani did it justice.
I can honestly say this is one of my favourite Lani books now, I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this book, I am actually not going to write a hugs review because honestly I don't want to give anything away. This book needs to be picked up and devoured. Happy Reading ♡
I love this book it is one that I would be happy to reread a hundred times, although I kinda felt something was missing with brielle thing but in saying that it didn’t take away anything from the book or make it any less.
