A well written novella to begin a multi author series. I like the concept of slightly older heroes because live and the desire to care and protect are not the sole domain of the young. Experience with life and death/sadness make for a different dynamic. I look forward to reading the other books or listening to them as audio books.
The silver seals is born in this book. It is well written and you are hardly out of the gate when Maggie and Silas’s tale starts. The book moves from scene to scene fluently and you become entrenched in their tale of new beginnings and can’t wait for the finish and when it comes you are looking for more. A delicious read!
