I suffer from peripheral neuropathy so my feet are sensitive. When the socks arrived the first time I wore them they were very soft and comfortable to wear. But on the third time they became loose at the top so they wouldn't stay up and the inside of the sock started bunching up and falling apart. I have a handful of the fluffy stuff sitting on my dresser. This unevenness in the socks cause a lot of pain on the bottom of my feet, it feels like I'm walking on very large pebbles or stones. And there is no way to fix this. I bought two pairs of these and now each pair is useless. Even without the neuropathy the socks aren't usefull since most of the inside fluffy material fell out. For this price I would have expected a pair of socks to last much longer.
I purchased this particular pair for my honey to wear hunting or cold days at work. I own 3 pairs of these socks. The fleece inside is soft and think and provides a great layer of insulation. I rarely sleep in socks but these are a staple for my camping bag. We love to camp in Spring and Fall where the days are beautiful but sometimes the nights can get a little cold still. If I throw these socks on my feet, I'm good and cozy. They are also my favorite comfy socks for sitting on the couch or just relaxing during the winter. As long as my feet stay warm, I'm good and these socks can warm my chilled feet up in no time. The hubs wore his goose hunting and said his feet never got cold so for him that a stamp of approval. From a family who already owes 4 pairs of these socks, we definitely recommend them.
These are warm and cuddly. They're also very thick, so you'll need boots with ample room to accommodate them. I generally have cold and/or sweaty feet, but my feet are just toasty warm and dry in these socks...even more so than merino wool, my standard choice. They stretch a lot and have no ribbing or fitting around the ankle and calf. So they slide off a bit too easily when I'm pulling my boots off. They don't come up very far past the ankle either., so don't get them if you need to keep your calves warm or supported. If you just want to keep your feet warm and comfy indoors, or inside an ample boot in frigid weather, these are absolutely wonderful.
I use to buy these socks in Montana, I have poor circulation in my feet and these socks do not restrict in any way. They always kept my feet warm no matter what, like a cloud on your feet. Now, with the cold happening down South and covid preventing me from going to Montana I was able to buy these online. Same socks!!! Im so happy!
They kept me warm while I slept on the winter nights. I have no heat in my house (and it gets so cold here that I seen a big animal frozen outside)and bought these well because even with heat our feet can be cold, so was hoping to help in having at least warm feet. They did not disappoint.
These are very warm and cozy. I have perpetually cold feet in the winter, but with these on my feet get warmer than any other sock. They are listed as appropriate for Wellingtons because they are very thick. However, I'm able to use them with my regular shoes but only because I tend to upsize my shoes by 1/2 size. If needed, they sell thinner socks as well, which are also quite good.
Bought these for my husband who has an outdoor job in the Midwest and my father who is always cold and working on things outside in winter months. Husband wears them daily and they have washed up well. Haven't dried them as I like to line dry things like this. He put them in dryer once and they were fine.
I never thought my husband would like these but he absolutely loves them as much as I do! I've given a lot of them as gifts to people with poor circulation in their feet - to my Mom, my Dad, my Children, etc. They all love them! I highly recommend for those cold days - very soft and warming!
