Absolutely loved it... my favourite so far. Hunter is absolutely gorgeous in every way possible. Emma is a sweetheart and puts everyone else first. It was sad and heartbreaking in some parts but all in all, I couldn’t put the book down.
Another great addition to this series. I love the attraction and connection that Hunter and Emma have for each other. They’ve known each other for years and Emma has liked him from afar for just as long. Brenden (Emma’s brother), has offered Hunter a place to stay after coming out of rehab so he can get his life back on track. Emma’s going through her own hell and asks to stay with her brother until she can find another place to live. The two struggle to stay away from each other but they can’t fight their feelings for long. There’s lots of flirting, some sexy steamy moments, lots of coffee and some questionable oatmeal that I’m on the fence about, lol. May have to give it a try.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Was a little apprehensive about how this book would go. Any book that deals with addicts can be a bit depressing, for obvious reasons, but in a style true to her form Crystal Kaswell has pulled it off well. The characters are sassy and funny, brooding but sweet. I like the interaction between Hunter and Emma almost as much as I enjoyed Dean and Chloe's book. I enjoy the inked hearts series more than I did the original rock star series. Well done on a great addition to an awesome spin-off series.
Great read. First time I read this author and I really liked it. Should have read the Inked hearts series first but it still read well as a stand alone. Well written with some depth and plot lines to it. Emma is so strong and got a rough hand. She and Hunter were just what each other needed. Still think Hunter should have got Brendon and gone and beat up Alex.
