Here to stay" would be everybody's nightmare!

Here to stay" would be everybody's nightmare! Elliot is a quiet, introverted man who lives alone with his cat, having renovated his beautiful home. His parents died in an accident when he was a teenager which probably contributes to his difficulty in dealing with confrontation. He meets Gemma, an "attractive young woman, also seemingly alone, and falls in love and marries her a few months after meeting her. Then her parents and younger sister return from living in France and come to stay for
a few weeks while they find somewhere to live. At least, that is what Elliot is told! Things go downhill fast. His in-laws are the most obnoxious, rude, crude, disgusting people, to an, almost, unbelievable degree. This book is gripping, tense, hateful, stressful and many other things that we have come to expect from this author. It was a great book, and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys Mark Edwards style of writing. A real roller coaster ride. The reason I deducted one star is because I found some of it just a tad of a stretch. However, I didn't have time to think that while I was reading it, because I was engrossed. All in all. a great read!
