This is one third of a full book! I don’t mind getting the first book in a series. If it’s good I’ll happily carry on with it and get the other books! But this type of promo is done to force your hand. Unfortunately for the author I found it somewhat boring and just as something interesting happened it finished. Well, I for one will not be buying the next two instalments. Really, nothing much happens. I mean, really, would the CEO of a company care if a secretary was a bit dumpy? No. All he’d care about would be her efficiency and, since he wouldn’t see that much of her, he probably wouldn’t know how she worked. The other thing is that people who used to be secretaries are now PAs. Mention shorthand to today’s youth and they look at you blankly. Today’s executives type out their own emails and letters. There are no longer typing pools where young women sit and type up letters from various managers from either scrawled paper originals or from tapes that the manager dictated. There is no mention of the Mall Project that they are supposed to be working on until the CEO, his father, complains that it’s not going fast enough even though they are ahead of schedule. The whole thing is pretty much rubbish. I always think that there must be other readers who don’t look for a meaningful story as I do, but even that group would probably feel upset at having to fork out AUD $9 just to finish the book! Just NO!
Excellent storyline with the chemistry between Stephanie (sassy secretary ) and Jeremiah ( misunderstood billionaire) with some twist and turns a kid napping and a fallout with his dad this story cover a lot of emotional ups and downs but flows well for excellent reading . Recommend reading
