‘You Then, Me Now’ is a very moving story of a single mother and daughter, both a bit dysfunctional yet written with the trademark humour we expect from Nick Alexander.
Laura and her daughter, Becky, are very close, yet there is a secret that hangs between them and as always has... the mystery of who Becky’s father is unfolds during a trip the two women take to the incredible Greek island of Santorini. Under olive trees, and along dusty tracks, Becky and Laura gradually start talking, but when the truth is finally revealed, it’s much darker than Becky could have ever imagined.
This is both a beautiful and heartwarming read as it is Easy. It just keeps you wanting another chapter just to see what happens to them both and before you realise it you’ve finished it in one sitting! SO FUNNY...
This is a great read. Very moving story of a mother and daughter, both a bit disfunctional in Nick Alexander style. I loved the setting in Santorini, having been there last year I could “see” the location s in the novel.
