As a Mum who loves Pokemon Go with two children who also talk, draw and dream Pokemon - this was a no brainer to buy. The preinstalled Let's Go Eevee game was thoroughly enjoyed by all of us (though as an old school gameboy Pokemon owner I was not initially sure about not being able to battle the Pokemon before catching them). The remake is glorious though and I found that I didn't feel like I missed out on the battling in the game play. I was able to set it up to the TV with no hassles, but with Let's Go Eevee, I preferred to play in handheld mode.
The package from Amazon arrived quickly and the box was in great condition, everything was packaged neatly and arrived with no damage. The Dock and enclosed AC adapter and HDMI cord were simple to set up. The Switch console which, in addition to the Eevee and Pikachu coloured Joy-Con Controllers, has black Eevee and Pikachu shapes decorating the back. It's not a huge thing, but it is a thoughtful and cute touch. The controllers came with a black grip to slide into to make a more traditional shaped controller (note that this does not charge them) as well as slim grips (with straps for wrists) which created two Joy-Con Controllers for multi player fun (the kids enjoyed jumping in as a support trainer regularly).
The Pokeball Plus can be used as a controller in Let's Go Eevee but it also has additional games to play with you. Ours came with a surprise inside - Mew! (A digital version found by linking the ball to the Let's Go Eevee game and looking for mystery gifts). After that you can take any one of your captured Pokemon on a 'stroll' with you by putting them in the ball. The ball will light up with the Pokemon's colour and the the pokemon's unique cry will sound as you play with them. To be truthful, some of the different cries - especially Eevee's - sound positively NSFW and I've not found a way to lower the sound. You get some pretty nice levelling up if you do this though, so it is well worth getting active with the kids playing chase or tiggy and getting them to hold the ball as they dash around - loads of experience points!
I haven't had a Nintendo since the wii (ours still gets a workout though the image it sends to the TV is a bit sketchy unfortunately). Even though it is late in the day (purchased in April 2019) and there are talks of hardware revisions, I am still really glad I purchased this unit. The kids and I love it, it's inclusive, helps create memorable family times and it has encouraged us to look at older wii versions of games we love as well. It's been a great purchase.
I havent played pokemon in a couple years, and it was quite fun playing Let's Go Eevee! Eevee is my fav pokemon of all time (sorry pikachu) and i loved having Eevee as my starter! The Pokeball Plus that came with the Switch was awesome too! At first I only carried around Eevee, but i started carrying around the rest of my party when she got too high level XD The Switch was awesome too! Great quality, havent experienced any bugs yet and its been a couple weeks so thats good (im usually good at bugging systems). Fits pretty much anywhere in my backpack, so im able to bring it everywhere i go! I've also got my mother playing it with me too! The Co-Op feature is amazing! :D
I’m really liked, good product arrived earlier than expected. But I cannot forget the guy who delivered, he let the package on the floor outside the building, he didn’t even wait me to pick up the box.
