Amazon calculates a product’s star ratings using a machine learned model instead of a raw data average. The machine learned model takes into account factors including: the age of a review, helpfulness votes by customers and whether the reviews are from verified purchases.
Busy Philipps is the kind of girl you want as your best friend when you're 6. And when your 12. And 15. 18, 22, 27, 31,37 & most definitely when you turn 40. And although she is an incredibly smart insightful woman, girl just seems to describe her candid, unfettered, 'sparkly' nature. This is a remarkably straight up book. There does not appear to be many, if any, punches pulled. And what she says could still have blowback for her today. SHE JUST THINKS TELLING THE TRUTH IS MORE IMPORTANT. A loyal and loving friend, she's a long-time feminist, not afraid to call out injustices or slights. You also get the feeling she would fight to the death to protect those she loves. Openly discussing her anxiety and depression issues, it's reassuring to hear a 'star' talk about it being an on going problem as opposed to something she manages and has conquered. She seems real. The kind of woman who would tell you if the dress looked bad from the back in the shop. The kind of girl you want to go out for drinks with, or stay home & watch 90s movies
