This was a fun and flirty read, with a slightly sad and helpless undertone at the start. Vaughn and Vale have been drifting apart, unsure how to deal with the one thing Vale desperately wants but Vaughn can't seem to give her. Unsure how to fix things, they are at breaking point. Enter Aiden. He is one of Vaughn's students, and now Vale's employee. What starts as harmless flirting soon turns into something more - especially when they both realise the object of their desire is the same person.
This story explores adding a 3rd person to an already established relationship. While things were rocky between then, on the brink of divorce, that history between them did leave Aiden feeling like he would be left behind as soon as they realised they didn't need him.
It was well written, and the alternating POV allowed their individual voices and perspectives to be heard. I felt their pain, angst, and also their love.
The epilogue was a great finish to the book - giving us insights into multiple time periods in the future to show how things worked out for then.
My only complaint was that this was marketed as a stand alone novel, despite being set in the Taboo world, and I felt there were a lot of assumptions made about secondary characters being known to the reader. I haven't read the entire series so I felt I missed a lot of references, and had trouble keeping track of everyone's relationships as so many secondary characters randomly dropped in. Great for those who have read the series and love old favourites, but it didn't even add to their story/HEA - they just showed up, had a line or 2 to say and left. One or two would have been ok, but I felt it was too many random and brief appearances for this to truly be a standalone.
Still a great read, and one I would recommend for someone looking for a MMF read that is both hot, but also has a storyline.
Ms Webster has once again given us one of her taboo treats and boy I'm still fanning myself. This book was just amazing and one of my favourites so far in her taboo stories from this author and I have loved every single one of them. Not only was this book really really steamy sexually hot it was also a very emotional read too which I loved AND it was MMF and MFM - phew you are in for a treat I can tell you !!!
Aiden was my absolute favourite in this book, we got to meet him in Lawn Boys but he came into his own in this book. Eighteen and yet so mature and wise for his age and also so sexually inhibited he was a delight to read about and revel in what he wanted and he wants his hot professor called Vaughn whom he is a student under. The sexual moments between these two were some of my favourite because they were hot, dirty and so damn passionate, I was in my element and really turned on reading some of these scenes between the two of them. Being bisexual Aiden is so open minded and when he gets a job working part time at a local coffee shop and finds himself also attracted to Vale who is the owner he is rubbing his hands together ; a hot handsome professor and a sexy gorgeous lady who happens to be his new boss, only Aiden doesn't realise the connection between Vaughn and Vale, but holy moly the the chemistry between the three of them is off the scale HOT !!! Behind all this sexual tension is a really lovely well thought out story that I fell in love with.
K Webster has excelled herself with this little bit of hotness that you will easily read in an hour. Go grab a coffee, get comfortable and read this amazing book - not to be missed !!!
This is one of the HOTTEST books that I have ever read. K Webster has given us three of the most loveable characters ever. Vaughn, Aiden and Vale ( love that name). I really don't want to give away any spoilers so all I'm going to say is do yourself a favour and read this MMF, H. A. F. Taboo read. You will be glued to your seat devouring every delicious word that this author has served up to us.
I loved, loved loved this book. It hit all the feelings, it is sweet, angsty, emotional and a brilliant story of love. There is so much heartbreak, strength and love in this book, it is everything. It is one of the best books I have read recently. I love the taboo books, but this is my new favourite.
