This one was a epic run of violence, hack and slash, magic slinging and gore. Aultra levels of horror but that is what happens when goblins over-run villages and capture prisoners. A run to rescue prisoners sparks off a major invasion combineing a siege with some excellent battle sequences. The mc's relationship with both other players and npc's pays divadends in this entry. Playing nice with others can have great results. I'm looking forward to find out where this story goes next.
After reading the first three books i am eagerly awaiting book four! This series is up there with life reset, awaken online and the land. A few minor spelling errors drop it half a star and make it just a hair not as good as those series - so its a personal 4.5. Its a good mix of quest / dungeon / building. The MC is capable, there's strategy as well as tactics, and theres some nice snark from time to time. It's not a harem series, although there are some minor elements of one - again, a mix i like. Highly recommended.
I recommend The World Series to all who love LitRPG books. I’m not going to give away any details but leave it as well worth buying. This is the third book in the series and it’s just getting better and better!
Fast paced nerve tingling riot of an adventure. Well pleased with the story progression, no irritating cliffhanging, characters that emotionally connect, world building of superior impact. Revenants rule, Devil Dogs destroy, PuG passes expectations. Yay.👍👍👍👍👍
1 Star Couldn't finish the book 2 Stars Didn't really like the book, but was interested enough in the story to finish (Skipping great chunks) 3 Stars The book was okay, finished it and will consider reading more from the author 4 Stars Really enjoyed the book, will check out others by this author 4 1/2 Stars Loved the book, will immediately check out others by author, if asked will recommend book 5 Stars LOVED the book, will immediately check out all others by author, will pre-emptively recommend book to ALL my book friends
I loved it and expect I'll be rereading it again in the future. This book is a solid 4 and a half stars which I've bumped up to five as Amazon doesn't do half stars. I liked this series enough that as soon as I'd read all 3 books available I immediately started in on Jason's second series.
Jason only has a short time left to reclaim the Clan Fortress and finish his Nightmare quest start. A rapid paced book with new companions, new monsters and new threats to the region. Oh, and the Guild Syndicate is also involved in this one, but on the receiving end of some serious PVP. A good book and looking forward to reading more of the series.
I've gotten really sucked into this world, the action is fierce, the suspense is satisfying. Now the only annoying problem is waiting for the next book. While i found the that some of the plot changes in this book a bit abrupt (eg, suddenly the mc is starting a harem, hopefully that is toned down in subsequent installments), that didnt bother me.
I liked this book. It was a good read and the story is starting to really go places now which is great. The thing that made me take off a Star was because of the almost constant near deaths and supposedly impossible scenarios. I found it a little frustrating, however besides that it was another good book.
