Quite amazed at how good they're given the price, the active noise cancellation works for background hum and the passive noise isolation from the buds combines to mean I can have music on at a lower volume and still enjoy it (without damaging my hearing).
Sound quality is very good, I've had bluetooth headphones in the past that overcompress the data feed and make the audio sound worse than it is, these do not. Call quality is also good, on the occasion I've taken calls with these on I could hear the other person fine and they me (both on my phone or through google hangouts on the computer).
Battery life is pretty good and inline remote is handy for volume adjustment and pausing when popping into a shop.
Only thing holding it back from the fifth star is a handful of niggles. Firstly, when it connects to a device (pretty quickly) it says "thot connected", not sure if this is a mis-pronounced "phone" but sounds a bit weird and takes that little bit of glean off of what could be a premium product.
The length of the cable to the ear buds from the two more weighted sections of the headset are rather long, good so you can turn your head without pulling but even with my relative long neck they're overly long and dangle a bit, again, a niggle, but, just notches the shine off a tad.
Lastly, and this might be more my use case, but I think I use skip more than I use volume control, either additional buttons for track forward (and maybe back, but not used so much) or alternative the volume keys to make a long press track skip would be very useful.
Magnetic clasp of the earbuds together is a bit of a gimmick, but equally doesn't detract if you're not using it, so not really a problem.
Have already recommended them to friends, if they had a brand name on them you'd expect to be charged at least $200, and you'd probably still like them as much, so $40 is an absolute bargain.
