Having used AUCMA cooker a few times now, I feel I can make relevant comments on the machine. I'm a crazy Sous Vide cook and I have an ANOVA sous vide device as well. I have had both machines running side by side and the results from both machines compare well; they both produce outstanding results. The difference is in the operation.
The heavy clip, used to attach the AUCMA to the water container, initially, looked like a good idea, however, I've found that some containers with a large lip, often there to help podition a lid, can't be used with the AUCMA. This was not a big issue as I have a variety of containers I can use that are suitable.
The major problem was with the operating instructions that were brief and not very helpful. After some fiddling around I got it going and all went well. I recently cooked deboned pork shoulder for 24 hours using the AUCMA with excellent results - superb pulled pork. I have had similar success with smoked beef brisket and scrambled eggs. Overall, I have been very satisfied with my AUCMA and impressed by the price too; good value at that price.
