Really enjoyed the book, as it was such a quick read... I've been in sales most of my career, so it was great to get perspective and see the broader picture of business profits, and where sales truly fits in.
Ever wanted to read a business book that provided the big picture rather than some nitty gritty details of something so hard to implement you just know you will never get around to it? This book provides broad, fundamental steps a business can take to get back on track (or start the right way from the get go) all in an easy to read, story driven format.
I would really recommend picking this up and giving it a look.
I have to admit that when I held the book in my hand for the first time, I was sort of expecting another tell-tale traditional business motivation & strategy book with a lot of repetition, same old jargon etc etc. BUT, Hell was I wrong!! The fictional characters, the narrative all combine to provide you an entertaining journey of two colleagues who take you through the ins and outs of running a small business. Author Peter has done a brilliant job of combining the fiction with high level of information and realism, about the everyday running of an enterprise.
Whether you are thinking of starting a business or running one already, this a book you'll be glad that you read in 2018. In fact, you may find yourself referring back to this from time to time as you go on!
If you're stuck in your business' direction, or just don't know where to devote your time and energy in order to grow business profits, Pete Williams' Cadence clearly identifies what areas to concentrate on and how. Its written in a friendly, unobtrusive way which is easy to relate to and follow. I would highly recommend Cadence, and the methodology Pete teaches.
