To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
This is one of the best mind/body connection books I’ve read. It’s backed by scientific experiments ( which is great and hope to see more). The author provides a list of illnesses and visualisations to accompany each illness. It’s by no means an exhaustive list, but there’s a lot of different ideas there so you don’t get bored with just one visualisation. I’m eager to read it again. Highly recommended if you want to improve your health. The chapter that contains real stories of how patients used visualisation to heal was amazing. Love this book!
Dr David Hamilton really makes you open your mind to your mind and shows you how you can heal yourself - recently diagnosed with a functional neurological disorder this book is helping me read my own body in a very different way - already making changes because of heightened awareness - Thank you for sharing your wonderful knowledge Anyone with any illness that effects them mentally as well as physically should read all of David’s books - incredible thank you
If you or someone you are close to is facing up to dealing with illness this is an absolutely fantastic book. I started reading it whilst waiting to hear my results as to whether I had cancer or not. I went from thinking, I might as well face that I will only be alive for a few more months, to enjoying and making the most of every day. (btw I got the all clear :0))
I loved the easy to read and approachable style of this book. Finally science is beginning to be able to prove things that the worst sceptic can't debunk. I was inspired to try to work on an intense hip and lower back pain I had been troubled with for over four years - I was blown away when the pain quite literally just stopped. I lay there wondering if it had really gone and it had!! Now if I feel a twinge I concentrate on it and 'pop' it away. I have M.S. so am currently working on visualisations to heal my body - so a work in progress - but what an exciting start! I have since bought the Quantum Field Healing CD which has David's seminar and visualisation on it - brilliant :)
Great book that shows how thoughts can have a tremendous effect on the body. Negative thoughts = low esteem, lack of confidence, anxiety etc. Positive thoughts = self confidence, happiness, feel-good factor etc. This book gives advice on how to think positively to get both a healthy mind and body. I am pleased with my purchase and would buy again.
I love this book. It has helped me so much. Thanks to this book I’m now off my anti depressants and have not taken one pill for anything since December 2018 as I now have learnt to ‘trick’ my mind into believing I’m taking the pills. The placebo effect really does work BUT you HAVE to believe in it 100% because even if there is one percent doubting it won’t work - then it won’t - the brain loves to listen to negativity.

I have had this book for many years and had to reorder it as I'd given it to someone whose need was greater than mine. However, I wanted my own copy again, as I have had some remarkable healing results with it (e.g. I cured my frozen shoulder, although doctors had told me only an operation would help). I am hoping to read it cover to cover and cure some conditions I now have in the same way I cured my shoulder. This book will only help those who believe they can do self healing, but it's an excellent read as well.
I bought this book and the accompanying cd when I found I had breast cancer. I wanted to try to do something natural to help myself. I was initially told how big the lump was, which was pretty big! I started applying the principles two to three times a day, in particular bed time. I was so determined to make this work. After I had my operation I was told that the lump was smaller than they initially thought. I have since made a full recovery. Coincidence? Not sure but it worked for me and it`s certainly worth trying alongside traditional medicine. The mind is an incredibly powerful tool.
I love this book - it gives you back the power over your own health. I have had ME for 34 years - chiefly, i know now because i was not allowed to rest when i needed ( I was first ill aged 13 and was told nothing was wrong with me) and hence have flattened my adrenals. This book is all about listening to your body and helping it heal itself using visualisations - my 'body' literally came up with the images. You do need to have some mental energy to do it - leave going to bed until you are exhausted and you wont be able to visualise properly.
I just didn't like this book, as it was condescending and preachy. Yes, I get it about bong positive and how that affects everything but telling us not to complain! Why? We can complain if someone or something upsets us. It's called standing up for yourself and not letting people walk all over you, which is the message of this book.
