Dell is grieving for his brother and thinking that he should have been the one to die. Then Angali shows up with a baby girl who looks just like Dell; but she is his niece not his child. I really like how Anna portrays Dell's difficulties with deciding what to do with a baby; the devil on one shoulder saying take the easy way out and the angel on the other shoulder saying you can do this. And I love the interactions with Quinn, the baby girl. I just wanted to crawl into the book and give her lots of cuddles. The bad guys are badder and the good guys are gooder and there is another pearl in the mix. I am so enjoying this series from Anna.
I received a copy of this book and I voluntarily leave my review. Another fantastic read by Anna Lowe I’m a big fan of her books she is a very clever and entertaining writer and this story Rebel Lion is no exception. This is the story of Anjali and Dell, Dell has also joined the security business like his military buddies. One day in walks a woman carrying a pink bundle in her arms and the baby looks so much like him. Sorry guys that’s all I’m giving I don’t want to spoil the story but if you want to know more then read Anna’s blurb and that will give you the gist to this story, but be warned guys that things aren’t always what they seem,so did that wet your appetite a little I hope so because this is such a wonderful story. I loved this story it’s very entertaining it’s action packed, suspense, danger, sexy scenes and so much more to keep you entertained and turning the pages. A 5 plus ++++++ ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
What can I say? I just love Anna's books! And this is no exception. Dell O'Roarke has always lived in the shadow of his brother Quentin but that didn't mean that he didn't love and admire him! Sure, he would sometimes wish that their mom would look at him the way she looked at Quentin but he had to admit she was right. He has a relaxed, swinging lifestyle and he's not about to give it up anytime soon. So, when he arrives at the Plantation house one day after work to find everyone looking at him with daggers in their eyes he just wonders what he's done this time. Then he realised that there is a visitor there; a very beautiful visitor! Not only that but she has a baby with her, a blue eyed blonde who is the spitting image of him! No wonder everyone's glaring at him! Anjali Jain is a top executive with a corporation in Chicago. Her best friend, Lourdes, had never really found her way in life, going from bad to worse. The only time she found a nice guy he was in the army and shipped out before she realised that she was pregnant and shortly after that she heard that he had been killed. Lourdes turned to her only friend for help and Anjali took them in. What Anjali didn't expect was for Lourdes to go out one evening and not come back. The police said that she had committed suicide but Anjali had her doubts. Why else would Lourdes leave a message that starts 'if anything happens to me...'? So Anjali took leave of absence and the baby and flew to Hawaii. When Dell saw the baby he was shocked! He had always been careful trying to be responsible as Quentin had impressed on him. But, as he looked at the little one things didn't add up. Then Anjali made it clear that the baby was Quentin's! As soon as that was made clear everyone relaxed. It was obvious that Anjali was human so any discussions about the future of a shifter baby couldn't be discussed in front of her. So, Anjali is to stay for a week to help Dell cope with Quinn. Meantime, Dell's inner lion is telling him in no uncertain terms that Anjali is theirs! Dell, the playboy, doesn't want to listen but another side of him is slowly coming to the decision that she is indeed his mate and that Quinn, the baby, is his too. while the rest of the clan is making plans for Quinn's adoption, Dell is falling in love Quinn and with Anjali too, and she with him! Of course, neither of them says anything! The problem is that their lifestyles are so totally different! Unbeknownst to them there are other forces at work. Gate has a way of stepping in when it comes to the shifters of KoaKea and this time is no different. This is a full length novel that is fast paced and full of action. I loved it as will any fan of Anna Lowe and any lover of fantasy romance. It was also very easy to read as the proofreading was excellently done. Definitely 5 stars for me.
Lovely story with a great plot and likeable characters and Destiny doing its thing, gifting another Pearl of Desire to Anjali in a very unique way. Anjali has been on the rat race, 80 hour gig week for years. Helping an old friend out ends up turning Anjali’s whole life around. When her friend ends up dead, leaving her baby alone with Anjali, Anjali does the only thing she can think of, tracking down Quinn’s uncle, Dell. Anjali starts off as a workaholic but soon learns how to relax and get into island time. Loved how calm she was and the two of then doing yoga was very good. Dell finally gets the reason his life has needed to become the man he should have always been, if not overshadowed by his older brother. I love that Ms Lowe has kept him with his man-child behaviour though as I loved his actions playing around with Joey. Not that he needs them as he has his true family around him but I wonder if he will ever reconnect with his birth family. Especially to introduce Quinn to them. Moira makes an appearance once again and really stirs up some trouble. Whilst I can understand the others opinions, I am annoyed at them for their doubts in believing Dell was unfit to raise Quinn. Glad he proved them all wrong. With Anjali’s help of course. I was kindly given this book by the author but I read it thorough KU. This is my honest review of this book.
I’m a big fan of Anna Lowe books, I find that she can transport me through time and space. I’m there on the island living and breathing her story. Rebel Lion is no exception to that rule. This is the story of Anjali and Dell, Dell (is a lost soul grieving the death of his brother} has joined the island security business with his military buddies. Anjali Jain is a top executive with a corporation in Chicago (she is grieving the loss of her friend Lourdes) Anjali arrives on the island with a pink bundle looking the image of Del! That’s all I’m saying except: not everything is as it seems. You have everything packed into a wonderful book. I just loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn’t recommend this book highly enough. What a wonderful series this is building up too!!! It’s definitely well worth the read.
I received a copy of this book from the author and I voluntarily leave my unbiased review.
I agree with the other reviews here. fantastic story and I really enjoyed learning about Dells childhood, his older brother and the mysterious girlfriend.Although each book can be read as a stand alone I think its a good idea to read the series in order to fully appreciate these wonderful shifters and the history of the pearls of desire. Some of the scenes had me imagining myself there looking at the sunset and tall palms amongst the greenery, the blue of the sea and the white sandy beach. Well written feel good tale that will leave a smile on your face. There is also a bonus update link at the end of the book if you'd like to catch up with them in the near future to see how they're going. Recommended Read.
I think this was my favourite of the Pearls of Desire books so far. The characters were fabulous and grew throughout the story. As always it is exciting, captivating and engaging. A well written story with plenty of excitement, hot shifters and full of heart. Can't wait to read what comes next.
