A tribute to Barbara Kautz and all the other nurses, doctors, corpsmen, helicopter pilots and all other associated persons who were involved in any way with this, so very often, heartbreaking work during their service in Vietnam. Thank you Bzrbara Kautz for letting us have such a close and involved glimpse of your "Tine in Hell".
This was a book which i could not put down. An excellent read.
If you are a fan of the Vietnam war as I am this could be interesting to read. What went on in those American bases.? Here we have a diary as the author ploughs through the many horrific stories of injured American soldiers. No comment on the suffering of these young men or the Vietnamese people. In fact she hardly met any or spent any time outside the base.
A wonderful insight in the day to day life, through the eyes of a hospital nurse during the turbulent years of the Vietnam War. Very well written and easily understood. The book itself was extremely hard to put down once reading had commenced. To the author Barbara Kautz, thank you for your service and thank you for writing a terrific book. Thoroughly enjoyable.
