Fast paced but a tad unbelievable
on 31 August 2018
I am a new reader of Michael Robotham and maybe it would have helped if I had read some other titles first, but I found this novel hard going. The exploits of the main character, Joe, are not realistic, especially given that he suffers from Parkinson's disease. Joe is able to conduct his own investigation into an attack on his father, encountering some unsavory, violent types in the process, attend to the needs of his two daughters as a single parent, begin a relationship with one of the detectives on the case, unravel the truth behind his father's long standing affair and grapple with a money laundering issue. I found the storyline just too unbelievable.
