A twisty psychological thriller is definitely what this is. I would love to tell more but I hate to give spoilers. This book had be hooked & sitting on the edge of my seat at times. I really didn't want to put it down.
Anna was damned if she did & damned if she didn't tell Will her sad sorry tale. Her involvement with Finn was a major downfall in her life which had a huge impact over time & currently. But that's all I'm going to say. The twist was also what I wasn't expecting so it added another dimension to the tale.
You're definitely in for one hell of a suspenseful ride with this one. If you like a tale that will keep you on your toes you'll love this. Maybe reread the 1st chapter after you've read it.
This author’s gritty human details add realism to this crazy thrill-ride. One of the things I love is that protagonist Anna makes bad teenage decisions as we do at that age. The whole book is just enthralling.
When happily married Anna is sent a photo of a dead woman, she fears her past is back to bite her on the bum. And it does. Again and again. Anna’s happy life is thrown into turmoil by the consequences of past decisions and the heartbreaking choice she made about motherhood.
Every so often the plot feels a bit hackneyed, but then it doesn’t matter because of Ms Boland’s abililty to transport the reader into her world. You feel Anna’s nausea as she sees the dead woman’s photo, the crunching of snow underfoot as she races through a Nordic forest. Great reading.
The Millionaire's Wife by Shalini Boland. How far would you go to be with the one you love? Lie . . . Cheat . . . KILL? When Anna Blackwell sees a news report about the death of a woman on the other side of the world, she knows her greatest fear is about to come true. She knows it’s her turn next . . . OMG. Absolutely fantastic read with brilliant characters. I was not expecting that. 5*. Highly recommended. Tbc on fb.
