I received an Advanced reader Copy of this book and here is my honest review.
This is the first book I have read by Nicole Snow and I have to say I loved every word of it and can't wait to read some more.
Single dad Brent goes to pick up his daughter from an after school art class and is instantly attracted to her teacher. He keeps this to himself as he daughter always comes first. Teacher Izzy can't keep her eyes off Brent every time he comes into the classroom and while she would love to go out with him her school policy doesn't allow her to be involved with the students or their family. One night whilst packing up a man who she found on a dating site, one that she ditched half way through their date comes to ask her out again. Brent being the good guy that he is swoops in and saves her. Meanwhile her cousin has seen this and soon reports back to her family that Izzy has a boyfriend. Brent has his own problems trying to get a bikie gang off his back, but again helps Izzy out when the family seem to think they are engaged. This is really a great book and without giving too much away I can only encourage everyone to read it. Natalie his daughter is a wonderful character within herself. If you love action, romance and everything in between then this is the book for you.
I have always enjoyed reading books involving Single Dads especially with exciting, adventurous, smart funny kids. Brent tries to portray himself as a tough 'take no crap' alpha male (which he is) but underneath it all he is also a very loving and protective dad. This book is well written. I enjoyed the chemistry and relationship between Brent & Izzy but thought more background work could have been done with Brent as all of a sudden he is reaching out to old friends (MC) for help. Izzy's family was annoying, interfering and judgemental (which quite a few people could possibly relate to) but I am glad that she finally 'stuck it to them'. And Natalie (the kid) is funny, smart with an old soul whom seems to be born before her time. I will say again that kids make a book. Natalie helps to highlight the connection between Brent & Izzy. I also appreciated and enjoyed the EXTENDED EPILOGUE. Although it was predictable it was nice to have a final ending to the story. Wish all authors did this!
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my honest review! I really enjoyed this one more then I was expecting too, such great character development going on that you felt like you knew them personally! Yay for that. It had lots going on and I enjoyed every page of it. Nothing was predictable right to the very end. Brent for me was totally swoon worthy, he had so many levels to him that made him sexy as hell and then how he was with his daughter was just great. Izzy, aka Blue, grew on me, I was worried she was going to be too immature for Brent but she really held her own with him I thought. She had her dreams and stuck to making them become a reality. Her family were on the OTT side at times but hey, family can be like that lol! I really loved the chemistry between them which made for some smokin' hot steamy scenes, loved them all, not too many either. I felt this one flowed along nicely with some interesting secondary characters. Overall a really enjoyable story and I look forward to more!!
I received this ARC for my review. I must say I couldn't put it down. It was terrific. The characters were well written and believable, the plot was also well thought out. It had everything, mystery, excitement, an interfering family and of course love, you then have the ingredients for a beaut book. And wasn't that so very good. Woe betide anyone who wanted to hurt his girl, mind you the girl (lower school teacher and artist) wasn't backward in coming forward to protect what she thought was hers!!! Just get the book, it's terrific!!
love, love, loved this book! Nicole Snow writes such interesting books with fabulous story lines. This book captured my full attention at the start and kept me engrossed until the very end. Well written with characters that were likable and with undeniable chemistry. Full of emotion this book is one I am happy to recommend
