DNF 42% Nope. Not for me. . Gavin is an complete arse (and that's being polite), and Kyle... well I thought he'd do better after his Ex.
The start of the book was good but further in my opinion of Gavin wasn't a good one. Kyle tried to explain his history with Roger but Gavin wouldn't let him. Time goes on and Gavin bulldozers Kyle to act as his Sub when Gavin doesn't know one bit of the life. Grr. Nooo Kyle don't apologise. coercing Kyle with sex instead of letting him process..grrr. Kyle a "natural Sub" as Marshall putts it, but that didn't make him a Sub.. DNF. I really hated this. Kyle 32 yrs was a shy carpenter in need of extra work which his friend, Marshall was helping with. Building new BDSM equipment for the Kiss of Leather Club was great as he needed the money. Gavin 38ish was one of the new Club's owners looking to buy more equipment. There first meeting definitely intrigued Gavins's Dom WANTS. But Kyle didn't know anything about BDSM life.
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.
Building Bonds focuses on the emotional relationship between experienced dom Gavin and submissive novice Kyle. I loved watching this couple look after each other, love and protect each other. Gavin introduces Kyle to the BDSM scene with such care I wished I could be Kyle.
Building Bonds isn't a very long story and for me the author could have written several hundred more pages and I would have happily kept reading. I didn't want the story to end. I'm very much looking forward to the rest of the Kiss of Leather series.
