Author Earnest Dempsey writes a very exciting archaeological thriller and this is no exception. Again starring Sean Wyatt and pal Tommy Schultz, in this instalment, they are on the trail of the lost Ark of the Covenant. There are of course others who want to get there first and use the find for their own evil ends.
Sean Wyatt and the rest of the team from IAA are involved in recovering ancient artefacts, and when Sean is confronted by two thugs whilst searching for lost treasure of Jesse James in Missouri, he is forced to take them down before they kill him. Both thugs have a distinctive tattoo on the inside of their wrists and whilst this was familiar to Sean, it took a while to identify as the tattoo worn by members of the ancient “Assassins” sect. This then starts the pursuit of The Ark of The Covenant by both Sean, Tommy and their assistants Alex and Tara, and the “Assassins” headed by Alain Depricot. The story includes assassinations of senior Government officials and more twists and turns than a boa constrictor consuming a meal! A very entertaining read with considerable violence and the intrigue of medieval times being revisited in the modern day. Highly recommended. Moses
As an advanced reader I had the opportunity to read this book for an honest review .Another great Sean and Tommy adventure , this time up against the cult of the assassins , in their quest for the ark of the covenant . It was brilliant to see more involvement from Alex and Tara , not just as office bound researchers. Truly loved the connection to Oak Island , I have always loved the mysteries surrounding Oak Island and enjoyed the series on A&E. Thanks Ernest , great story line , fast paced action , and a good collection of corrupt and evil bad guys.
Firstly, I received an advance copy of "The Templar Curse" in exchange for an honest review. I have no personal affiliation with the author. That said, what a book! I have read all the Sean Wyatt series of books and always wait impatiently for the next Sean Wyatt adventure. Based on all of the books of this series, I thought this book stood out above all the others and yes, the others were awesome. Tommy and Sean on another adventure, with my favourite mix of archaeology, thrills and aggressors. Some of my other favourite authors are Dan Brown, Clive Cussler, Greig Beck and Steve Berry. That gives you some idea of what I enjoy and what I love about Ernest Dempsey books. If you enjoy books of this genre, then this is a must read.
