Amazon calculates a product’s star ratings using a machine learned model instead of a raw data average. The machine learned model takes into account factors including: the age of a review, helpfulness votes by customers and whether the reviews are from verified purchases.
Having only had it a few weeks I can't comment on the durability but... It has survived daily use during a very wet few weeks which is more than can be said of umbrellas not much cheaper. 1) Handle- very comfortable to hold and nice size 2) Design- the double flap should help prevent blow outs and not something I've seen often in this size 3) Size- it's actually bigger than I expected but still small enough not to hit other commuters. Just big enough for 2 people to squeeze under which is impressive. 4) Fabric- feels nice with an almost silk feel. When it arrived it came with an additional bag the umbrella and it's case fitted in. Offers some protection for the handle if it's going to live in a back pack most of the time. 5) Price- $25 is a bit of a no brainer considering it looks and feels like one choosing double or triple that price 6) Durability- At this point it feels solid but being an automatic open and close.... If it's still working perfect in a year then I'll need to add that extra star
It stopped retracting the second time I used it. I’ve been looking for a decent umbrella for some time and the reviews for this product were reassuring. It looks like it’s well made but the hidden retraction mechanism is obviously just a piece of junk What a shame.
