“Voyeur. I knew that word. Saw it on some porn site maybe? Read it in a book? It’s when someone likes to watch others. Usually in sexual activities.” — Oaklyn
Oh wow! I knew Fiona Cole would deliver yet another book I would fall in love with but this one, I didn’t expect it to connect with me the way it did, I didn’t anticipate how far I would fall in love with Callum and Oaklyn and I didn’t not think I’d read the Voyeur in only a few hours because I could not put it down!!!!! This book had me impatiently waiting for its release since I first knew it was coming and yet despite all the teasers, the excerpts, I just did not anticipate that this story would be so much more than a “forbidden teacher student” relationship and what it is, well it’s a book I won’t be forgetting in a hurry.
Fiona is super talented at creating erotic romances that are so much more than hot, steamy sex scenes (though she writes those pretty darn well!!) and without spoiling Voyeur, know that this book might start off as two people who shouldn’t have feelings for one another, shouldn’t have found each other at a special kind of sex club, shouldn’t be attracted to on another because of the fact they are student/teacher ... and that is a lot to deal with in a book anyway. But Fiona manages to deliver two characters in Callum and Oaklyn who I ached for, who I felt a connection to, who I wanted to be together in spite of the seemingly insurmountable odds. These two face a hell of a lot of hurdles and yet they become stronger - separately and together - and I was so very glad to beat witness to their relationship.
This is a real tough review to write - despite my ramblings 😉 There’s so much I want to say about this book, about the story and about Oaklyn and Callum but I won’t because it’s a book that is worth reading for yourself. One click it, buy it, read it and become entranced yourself with the absolutely fabulous characters that Fiona has created, the brilliantly gripping storyline and a book that is going to be one of those at the top of my 2018 reads for sure!!

This was my third read from Fiona Cole and yet again l was super impressed.. This way far more than a student/teacher read for me and l found it to be really refreshing
It had me from the first page and the characters were so relatable that l found myself thinking long after l had finished reading the last page..
Callum is a college professor with a past that is slowly revealed through out the course of the story. Oaklyn is a college student doing all that she can to continue with her college education, when she finds herself in need of funds to stay studying. She finds herself working at an adult establishment when she is first seen by Callum as he is a member of this very exclusive club..
Oaklyn walks into her first day of a new class at college and surprises Callum by being his student.. What to do is the first of many dilemmas that present themselves to both our characters.. I found this to be a rather emotional read... It was refreshing to see a situation written about in an adult and commonsense way...Both points of view where expressed and easily understood and l loved that the characters both showed vulnerability and strength when needed... Such underlying pain and expressed from a source that l didn't expect had me surprised in a good way.. l absolutely loved this story and would highly recommend it to anybody who likes there stories delivered with heart and heapings of emotion....
Wow. Just wow. This book was more. That’s really all that popped into my head while sitting here attempting to write my review. It was so much more than I was expecting. The premise of the story itself is super hot and I was itching to read it after I read the blurb but it doesn’t do the story justice. Such an emotion filled journey of healing, you’re heart will break and then be mended back together in the most beautiful way.
This was my first book by Fiona Cole and I cannot wait to get my hands on more, it was so beautifully written, it grabs your attention right from the get go and lord help you if you can’t sit and read until you’re done! The only thing I would have wished for is a longer epilogue because the HEA was beautiful, I wanted more of it.
"I want the man who looks at me like I'm more than any of those stars."
Woah... just woah.. This book. It's hard to describe just how incredible the writing is and how attention grabbing the story was to read.
I have noticed that the greatest complaint about reviews has been how explicit they can be in regards to details. That it is almost a blow by blow, as it were, which reveals almost everything about the story. Therefore in order to allow readers to enjoy stories, I prefer to describe my feelings while reading the novel and keep details of the story to a minimum. After all, I want you to enjoy the story as much as I did when reading it.
Callum Pierce is an old fashioned gentleman who seems reserved but is definitely into something more kinky than the average ;) He is also a man with something in his past that makes him more reserved than he would be otherwise. He is attractive, passionate and he wears glasses. A hot professor who wears glasses? Sign me up!
Oaklyn is a sweet young woman trying to make the best of a bad situation. Her place at Voyeur makes her question her feelings. It's not surprising in one way. Her role there pushes her boundaries and allows her to explore things she hasn't before. This often results in her having reactions and feelings which have her question what it all means. She is independent, stubborn and motivated. Oaklyn knows what she wants and goes for it.
Several factors play against Callum and Oaklyn: pride, jealousy, anger - almost like the seven deadly sins. But past experiences also taint their time together. Their relationship presents certain issues and trying to navigate through them does cause friction. Callum and Okalyn are brilliant. So real and raw that you can't help but feel for them. The other characters are also fantastic. Jackson and Olivia are my favourite. This was an incredible story which gave all the feels: gut punching moments, heated intimate moments and fun playful interactions. It is certainly a journey of discovery and confronting the past to ensure a brighter future. Ms. Cole has done a remarkable job with this story.
Older man, younger student love. This was an enjoyable read. It had lots of chemistry and steamy times. Callum was weighed down with demons from his past and took quite some time to deal with them. Oaklyn was great. She was supportive, sensitive, sweet and very likeable. Although she was very young (19 years old) she was very mature. Their struggles were real and the love shined through. Very well written.
Well after numerous attempts to get this book amazon decided to finally play nice and give me the fix I craved! I felt like the Voyeur watching the scenes unfold in this epic story of forbidden love, past issues that haunt the present and strength in trusting the one person you could learn to love. Their story had me captivated from the start and the chemistry was off the charts!!
This is my first read from Fiona and I absolutely loved it. I loved Callum and Oaklyn<<—- awesome name by the way. I loved how Callum’s story shined through as well as Oaklyn’s. It’s a very different Professor and student story but it was a beautiful story. I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book
