Robby's misadventures are compelling and hilarious, the romance is sweet and sexy, and the cast of characters are very believable. Looking for a book to keep your attention, lift your spirits and leave you happy? Here it is.
I really loved this book. I was riveted the whole way. The narrative was by turns funny, suspenseful, sweet and exciting. Robby was a hero to cheer for. One of my favourite Eli novels (and that is high praise).
LOVED IT.💖 This is a fantastic story, the characters are fantastic and costumes described are gorgeous. Chemistry between Robbie and Trace ignite and humorous scenes are really funny. I could picture Robbie with his father-in-law having a discussion . lol.😅. The story-line of this is brilliant for the time period. Rowena had the Crabtree Family wrapped around her little finger especially when it comes to improving their manners at the table.. I loved reading this from the start right through to the amazing ending. I was on tender hooks wondering how it would end. Highly recommended. Set in 1860 New York to New Mexico. Robbie 24 yrs is a theatre actor, after staying really late at night he witnesses a murder of a man with 3 attackers. With his name on poster around he had a problem. Trace 26 yrs was a sheriff of his sleepy town. Trace didn't want to marry but his brother, Clovis did. Denounced to Clovis a mail bride was on her way. Lol. Robbie aka Nick aka Rowena was on there way to Flat Botton. (Read on KU)
I wasn't sure what to expect from this book but the idea of a male (dressed as a female) mail order bride had me curious... I found it difficult to become absorbed in the story at first and then it had me hooked!
I couldn't stop reading about Robbie and Trace and their misadventures, loved the journey and the ending. So much fun, perfect!
