Amazon.com.au:Customer reviews: Trekology Ultralight Inflating Travel/Camping Pillows - Compressible, Compact, Inflatable, Comfortable, Ergonomic Pillow for Neck & Lumbar Support and a Good Night Sleep While Camp, Backpacking
Id prefer to rate 3.5 but the price point gained a 4.. The average adult hiker would need 2. It inflates to around 8cm height but.. It will work if one uses a jumper underneath it to offer the extra height needed to avoid a sore neck. The valve is plastic and seem reliable and I have no issue when the valve is capped..it should be fine. The material is somewhat thin 1.2mm approx..but it's not a chair. It is ok for the price and we are talking mid range gamble. It's a bit low.. It's a bit thin.. But hey ... It will work with a bit of extra packing. It has a good small reliable carry sack.
This was the last piece of camping equipment I ordered from Amazon (by several days) and it was the first to arrive. I ordered mine on Saturday and it was received in Melbourne on Tuesday. Great :)
I like the valve toggle button that allows it to fill only or to vent. Easy for both inflating and deflating. The material is lovely. A kind of soft flock. It is very light 100g with tote bag. About 85g on its own.
I am a side sleeper with wide shoulders so I bought this pillow because it was one of the thickest available. They quote 10.2mm. In fact it is higher than that (11.5 cm) at the sides (unloaded) - but you don't sleep at the sides. The middle portion, where you lie your head, is 9.5 cm unloaded and 7 cm with load. It is still a bit low for me but super comfy so I will use it - probably with something under it to raise it a little.
This product really surprised me for the price tag. It inflates and deflates so easily and folds into the smallest little thing. I bought this to take camping overseas so needed it to be portable and lightweight, which is definitely is! I tried it out camping last week and had no issues. It's not necessarily the most comfortable pillow but it does the trick and I plan to use it on planes and long bus rides for lower back support.
As you would expect, takes up next to no space in backpack, very light and quality construction. I got to use for a few nights, and was happy with comfort level. Gave it to my son to "try out" and he won't give it back. He has been using now for months, so I now need another. His other inflatable pillows (different brands) are now backups.
It is easy to inflate and can be used as a sleeping pillow but I found it is also very useful as a back pillow when flying. It’s compactness makes it great for travel when space is an issue. I gave highly recommended it to fellow travellers.
