In all my years, I have never finished a souls game. Having been pretty much carried through DS2, 3, and Bloodborne by friends, I have never really understood the game as a solo adventure. Usually refusing to look at guides and getting stuck on the same thing over and over again left me finished with the games. But this time. I took it slow, and methodical. And I'd watch little youtube clips on the bus, then squeeze in a boss fight before work here and there, and finally I finished Dark souls 1. What an incredible game to have on Switch. This is a must have for someone who likes their games to fight back.
This is a great game. It would be perfect for someone new to the series or someone who likes a challenge. Not for the younger audience or those who like "easy" games. Visually it's definitely lacking... Even as a remaster (and on the switch) I was kind of disappointed. As for a travelling switch game, I know why it gets praised. It's good. But I can play a better looking version of the same game on PC and the newer games look way better.. the gameplay is different on the switch (in a good way eg. handheld). A perfect addition for those who have played and enjoyed the series though.
