I love the billionaire series. Centred around The Agency, this story, this time. Boss Olivia finds herself needing a fake boyfriend. It was another great story and fullfilled my thrist that you can find love when you least expect it. Recommend to read.
Wild Card by Lila Monroe is the third book in her quirky Billionaire Bachelors series. Starring the matchmaker herself, Olivia, and one of her more difficult clients, this book focuses on how Ryan finally gets his perfect match and Olivia learns what it is to fall in love on the job.
Olivia has the best job - exclusive matchmaker - but when she has a client she is completely unable to match up with a girl, she has take on the challenge of Ryan herself. It's perfect timing though as she also needs a date for her fathers wedding. Two birds one really hot retired football player.
Ryan has been waiting for Olivia's matchmaking service to find him the right girl for what feels like forever. Her type of matchmaking is one that is for appearances only. Need a date for fundraisers, check. Need a date for a family wedding to avoid their matchmaking, check. But he needs a specific, savvy type of women to give him some steadfast credibility for upcoming business meetings. What eh really wants is Olivia and no one else will do. Good thing she is now searching for a date for her fathers wedding.
Well-written, well-paced and another fabulous, quirky, funny, steamy and romantic read from one of my favorite authors - enjoy!
Ryan needs a fake Girlfriend and who better to find him one than Olivia, He is picky and when it comes down to crunch time he figures out its her that fits every quality he is chasing. Seeing this as an opportunity to have a gorgeous ex football star on her arm at the wedding of her father and college nemeses, Ryan and Olivia come to an agreement that suits them both.
Olivia is an independent woman who has built a career for herself, she has everything she needs in life. Throughout the book she has some very awkward and trying situations thrown at her but she handles them like water off a duck back. Ryan’s football career might have ended the day of his injury but the rest of his life was just starting, he ventured into a variety of different rolls and came up with a new business venture that he put his heart and soul into. He strives for more and did everything possible to make that happen.
How could it go wrong, this was purely professional business contract for both of them “Quid Pro Quo” as they called it. When the fine lines start to fade away and they begin to give in on the feelings they have for each other their attraction grows dramatically. Trying to maintain professionalism makes the lust more evident and brings their relationship to a whole different level.
This is my first Lila book and I just love her easy going writing style, reading this book was effortless and was done in one sitting. I really enjoyed hearing from Olivia and Ryan, it gives me an understanding on how the characters think and gives the book everything it needs to be a standout.
I personally loved this book, it was easy to read, light hearted and had the right amount of drama to make it a book I didn’t want to put down. I will be adding the previous Billionaire Bachelors books to my reading list along with her next book in the series, Man Candy.
Oh god, this story was so funny! I laughed a lot through this book. This is actually my first read of anything written by Lila, but god I loved it! Why have I only just discovered her work now? I will definitely be reading other books released by her.
Olivia is a matchmaker with a twist! She is usually the one to set people up with their perfect matches to get them through events or family situations. This time however Olivia is the one who needs help! And Ryan seems like the guy for the job. I really liked Olivia’s character. She had to grow up fast as a teenager so it has made her slightly closed off, but behind that exterior is a fun loving women. Ryan is an ex NFL player. He is sexy, flirty and all the women want a piece of him. I though Ryan was an extremely funny character. I loved his sarcastic sense of humour. I laughed so much at the scene in the aeroplane when they were on their way to Miami! HA! So funny!
One thing I did question though through the book was Vanessa. Did anyone not notice how she was towards Olivia? No one seemed to be on Olivia’s side in any of it except Hallie. So this made me a little sad for Olivia. The book made me laugh, and it made me a little teary. I really enjoyed reading it and look forward to reading more from Lila.
Hands down, this was easily my favourite in Lila Monroe’s Billionaire Bachelors series! From the very first chapter, I was LOLing at Olivia’s situation and antics! I loved how driven and committed she was to her job and The Agency! And Ryan was just smoking HOTT and SWOONY!!! He is my favourite hero of Ms. Monroe’s so far! The chemistry between Olivia and Ryan was electric! My only wish was that there were more chapters on their relationship and feelings developing. In her signature rom com style, Ms. Monroe kept my laughing and swooning. A perfect summer, poolside read!
