This book is transformational, for me at least. Like anyone reading this I've read a lot of books on healthy eating etc and have changed my eating regime tohigher fat, lower carb natural foods. Only foods my grandmother would recognise. And I knew that Type 2 diabetes is a result of insulin resistance which tself is a result of eating badly and particularly eating high carb. But I didn't know that insulin resistance is the cause of coronary heart disease & strongly implicated in all the other common aging diseases. And that you can reverse your risk of dying from these simply, quickly and enjoyably. And I didn't know much about things like what exactly are HDL & LDL cholesterol and what is insulin and how does it work. This book has changed all that for me. It presents the science behind this in a way that meets the needs of even sceptics like me. Simply and in enough detail to give an understanding of how all this incredibly complicated biochemistry works without making your eyes glaze over Can't recommend it highly enough. It may well save your life!
Great book for reversing diabetes, losing weight, reducing inflammation, and articulating the rationale for why most nutrition guildelines published by developed countries governments since the 1970s have inadvertently led to the current crisis in healthcare due to rising obesity, diabetes and other metabolic disorders.
