Water flossers by far and away are the best oral hygiene tool coupled with brushing. If you haven't used a water flosser yet, get one. They will save you a tonne of cash from having to see your dentist/hygienist for your annual clean. You simply wont need to go anymore...
From the first use you can see your teeth clean like how only you see them clean when done professionally. They massage your gums, making them bleed if it has been awhile since you last flossed - bleeding was always reinforced to me as a good thing from my dentist. It means once they stop bleeding, your gums will be healthier, apparently.
As for this unit compared to others, I would have to say it is more of an entry level unit. If you are looking at once that are much more expensive than this, you almost definitely are getting a unit that is better. However, as a first water flosser, or one to keep at your mistresses house, one for the kids to use or as a travel unit this is certainly suitable.
As a gift to get people into water flossing, you cannot go wrong with this unit.
