The premise of the plot was interesting, a plague killing vampires and medical student with special blood trying to find a cure. So far so good. The main character is a fun sassy female who doesn’t need a man to tell her what to do. Unfortunately they refuse to listen :)
That being said, I felt too much focus was spent on the ‘love’ (for lack of better word) triangle, relegating the plague to a B plot at best. Also it felt that a chunk of story was missing around the middle of the story. Sasha goes from one of the men to being in a relationship with the other with zero explanation on how she got there. I even had to go back to make sure I hadn’t inadvertently missed something.
Overall, this was an enjoyable read that did nothing spectacular. However, I will be reading book 2 if for no other reason than to find out what happened after the cliffhanger.
