I was worried about the new set of books moving away from Nate and his adventures. I should never have doubted Steve and his abilities. This was an absolute cracker of a book and a fantastic way to wrap up the first 3 books for her. We got to flush out more of some old friends and that was brilliant as it was not just written about 1 or 2 main people it felt that everyone was a main player and that all were and are important to the ongoing story. I can’t say much as I do t want to give anything away however the last few dozen pages was heart stopping, and when I finished I noticed I had read the book in one sitting and was upset it was over however overjoyed with the thoughts of what comes next. Now the painful wait till the next book
The story was good, what action there was , was good. I enjoyed the read, and most of the book is 5 Star, but I just felt that there was too much talking, “fluffing.” All in all, I’d give the trilogy 5 stars. I look forward to the next edition.
While I have never enjoyed Layla as much as Nate, A Thunder of War delivered solid character development and a good showdown fight that we have been waiting for. I finished the book saying 'Great ending!' and I cant wait for the new series.
An excellent conclusion to this series. Layla accepts all that she is to become a fully fledged Umbra. Abbadon and Mammon are confronted, we learn a little bit more about Mordred, and some of the Norse realms. Really looking forward to seeing how this now ties in together the upcoming Nathan Garrett series. Read it on Kindle Unlimited.
