Well written, without hiding the emotional toll or experiences. An accurate portrayal of the complexities and nuances of our justice system and its toll on victims of sexual violence. The eventual vindication of one young woman in the court system and how although the impact of sexual abuse continued to impact her emotionally throughout the years she forged through those times to live her life. She also speaks eloquently of the many other women, often without family support, or a partner, and without education often battling mental health issues and addiction who can't cope with court system and often the loss of their unlived lives or loss of life goes unnoticed by society but their deaths are just as valid as someone who murdered and life lost by crime instantly. It just a slower process from crime to death. How many of their voices are lost?
