I got these earphones for my daily beach walk to listen to music to motivate me to go further. I particularly wanted a set with a cord so that I could pin it onto my clothes as I was concerned that they could fall out of my ears and I would lose them in the sand. When I got them I was really pleased that there is a little clip that you can use to clip onto your clothes.
The set has quite a comprehensive instruction book, but I managed to get them connected and working on my iPhone 5 with the quick start sheet provided. Once I got my phone to recognise them, it was pretty simple. I put on some music from Utube to test them and the sound was very good, the sound from both earbuds was balanced and the volume was just right.
Included in the set are lots of different sized earbuds and also ear hooks to make sure you get a snug fit, plus a USB cord to power them up. There is a handy vinyl wallet included that carries all the bids and bods you get, and it is very compact and that makes it easy to keep everything together.
Overall, very happy with the product and the price. Good buy.
Unbelievable Bass from such small drivers! These In-Ear SoundPeats Q30 headphones will shake your brain... when it matters. Fire up some hip-hop and you'll think you're at a concert, or in a car with 12" subwoofers, it's very surprising how much kick these little guys have.
Their use case is for exercise and fitness activities, to zone out from the world and into your workout. And they do just that, the silicone buds and wings create an excellent seal from the outside doubling as earplugs almost. Presumably, you'll be playing upbeat tempo tracks, and leaving your Opera mixes for another time when at the GYM, so being Bass focused headphones are a perfect match for the presumed music genres for a workout. You don't buy a Ferrari for Supermarket runs, or a Kia Carnival for Track day, so purchase these headphones for their primary use and therefore their presumed target music genre.
With that being said being bass heavy does come at a cost, and presumably, the mids can become lost amongst the thunderous boom of the bass. This isn't a concern in songs which you'll probably be listening to when working out that are kick dominant, driving your rhythm based on the bass, but on a Live track where the drummer isn't the star of the show, they become just that, sometimes getting in the way of the vocals. Turn the headphones above 60% (which is actually quite loud, and on my phone [s9+] alerts of "high volume range" for headphones) and the High's will become quite pronounced, and at about 80% they'll break apart into a much harsher signal (possibly due to being battery operated). Listening at 80% volume for a long time would however probably render hearing damage as it's very loud. I have not pushed them to 100%. Their Sound Signature reminds me of the Sony Max or Extra Bass series, so quite close to a reputable company.
The Verdict, at their price point these headphones are a MUST have. At a comfortable listening volume, they'll provide exceptional sound quality for their price. Remember these are Bluetooth headphones, containing a rechargeable battery via Micro USB, inline music controls and microphone, 3 ear sized tips for a ridiculously low price. For me personally, these are a great addition to my headphone collection, one which ranges up to the $400 mark, so my expectations for audio is quite high, and here the SoundPeats Q30 hit the nail on the head for their target audience and purpose.
- Great product for the price - battery life is good - sound quality is good - Fit is good - well made
- Treble seems over powering in some cases. - Bluetooth cuts in and out at the start (not always), then works fine after - Talking on the phone, people on other side has mentioned the sound feels distant
Edit: Updating my review based on customer service. The company reached out to me immediately and offered a replacement as well as informing me about the 12-Month guarantee they have in place. I tested the new device and so far its perfect. I would not hesitate to buy the headphones as I find them if not the best value on the market one of the best. Coupled with the company's attitude you cant go wrong. Shoot ahead!
After a month of use the cover or the playback ptions came out, I am very dissapointed as I was very happy with my purchase. Unfortunately I can't now recommend this as you can get probably better value with other brands slightly more expensive.
Below is my original review.
Sound quality after the first couple hours gets progressively better and on an Android with tweaking g I dare say it's impeccable.Built quality is also very good and the.magnets are not cheap.Battery life is decent and can take on whatever daily adventure. Definitely recommend it and will be buying from SoundPeats again in the future.
These are really good wireless headphones. I am enjoying them very much. First of all the sound has got nice bass and is very clear. They are very good for listening to music and they also don’t have any noticeable lag when watching video. The Bluetooth connection is reliable and I can move a good distance from my phone without losing the connection. They stay in your ears well as they are light and also with all of the different buds and wings that you can choose from you can get a comfortable seal in your ear without it falling out easily.
Both headphones come with the same package contents, with the newer hard-shell case and not the leather pouch as shown in other reviews. The only major difference between the two headphones is the build and sound signature.
Q30 Plus (pictured on the right) -metal earbuds, feels premium -bass heavy, recessed mids/trebles
Q35 (pictured with the circular 'S' attachment) -plastic matte earbud -bass is less overpowered but still punchy, more pronounced mids/trebles
Personally, I prefer the Q35 as it provides a more balanced sound. I found myself increasing the volume on the Q30 Plus just to make the vocals more audible, yet this also amplifies the bass. The Q35 also seems to isolate sound better, most probably because the mids/treble is fuller, although this is dependant on the music you are listening to. Finally, some users have complained about quality issues. All SoundPEATS headphones come with 12 months warranty, and the company has replied and resolved my issue within within a few hours of contact.
TL;DR: Q30 Plus is bass heavy with a metal (more premium) build, Q35 has a more balanced sound with punchy bass and is less fatiguing
These headphones are great! Really reasonably priced and the sound quality, which had been my biggest concern, is excellent. These were ordered specifically for wearing to the gym and haven't disappointed yet. No more distracting cord getting in the way of machines, these just fit in my ears and off you go. Even the small cord with the controls on it has minimal impact, I barely even noticed it was there but is extremely handy for skipping songs or adjusting volume. Pairing with my phone also took about 30 seconds to do with no hassle or random software downloads.
The battery life seems pretty good so far but obviously any new product does so I'm keeping an eye on it for now. So overall, I"m extremely happy with the product and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cheaper priced set of wireless headphones.
The headphones are incredible for the price! I had an old one which is branded "Taotronic", compare to this headphone so far the SoundPEATS is the most comfortable plus the clearest sound, they cancel out a lot of the noise, very easy to pair with my iphone and macbook. I've now used the SoundPEATS several times since yesterday received the parcel, one charge last really long time, I didn't count how many hours but really really long. I plan to use these awesome headphones at the gym and I believe it would be great! Overall, $34.99, this bluetooth headphone is beyond what you would expect from headphones at this price. I would definitely recommend it.
Awesome product, I was a little skeptical at first as they are so cheap - but believe the reviews, these things pack power.
Sound quality is better than headphones I spent over $250 on, the battery life is awesome and bluetooth connectivity is fantastic. They connect super easy, the blue tooth works for about 15 meters, shich is great when i walk around the office on phone calls.
Can not fault this product, I've had heaps of pairs of headphones ranging from $300+ and I'm a DJ so i'm rather fussy with sound quality, the bass and treble in these is well balanced and it's a super rad product.
