Laugh, hot, tear up and damn well smile... yep nailed it again Ms Bailey...

Tessa Bailey, once again you’ve nailed it. Unlike others in this genre she keeps reinventing ... even the title ‘Getaway Girl’ is cool... the cover cool... yet keeps her signature wit as she is the QUEEN of banter and super awesome dialogue.
‘“I just realized you always untuck your dress shirt before walking in my front door. Have you been hiding a GIF-worthy ass from me, Elijah Montgomery Du Pont?”
“Addison Potts, this conversation is indecent.”’
What begins with a potential Mayor left at the altar needing a get away, soon turns into the unlikeliest of friendships with the girl in the getaway car... Addison and Elijah become so much more than an escape for each other. Their friendship is sizzling with sexual tension to die for yet they both have too much to lose so are cautious...
Oh wow, without spoilers I can’t say much more than... Spectacular setting -tick; kickass heroine - tick and a southern gentleman- tick! Tick! Tick!
This story had so much heart... and Addison is just lovely
“As long as I continue to reality check myself, though, a tiny pinprick of hope won’t hurt, will it? Carefully, I let myself feel it, exhilaration filling my lungs with air. Maybe, just maybe, Elijah isn’t going to hide me away forever.”
In fact I loved the story. I loved the writing and I just enjoyed myself!
‘Getaway Girl’ made me laugh, made my heart ache, made me shed some tears, made me hot, yet always left me with a smile! Good job Tessa Bailey!!
