‘Seek’ is another fabulous Mia Sheridan book however ‘Seek’ is different than any other books Mia Sheridan has written. It didn’t quite have the same emotionally charged feeling as most of her books have however being romantic suspense it’s fast paced, suspenseful, and full of steam.
Our leading lady Olivia is wonderful. Adopted at a young age, she is given material possessions, but no real love. She thinks she’s found Love however Olivia Barton’s fiancé has disappeared only weeks after their engagement. She’s hired a private investigator that has tracked him all the way to Columbia. She just needs someone to take her there. Thomas is the perfect guy to take Olivia, as he grew up in Columbia. Thomas is very much a mystery at the start of the book. He’s elusive and he doesn’t let people in.
Olivia is compassionate, caring, determined and courageous. This is a woman who can and will hold her own, even against the grumpy, ex-Seal turned mercenary. Because of her belief in people and her compassion she has sadly been taken advantage of through her life, however she has not let it change her belief that people are inherently good. “There was something…lonely about her, and it’d poked at me in some way I couldn’t identify.”
The story had some amazing twists and the ending left me completely satisfied. If you are a fan of Mia Sheridan's writing you will enjoy this book. It was a new side of her and shorter than her other books, I still enjoyed it thoroughly.
