Snow flakes, mistletoe, mugs of hot chocolate and her dream date. That's what was on Faith Holden's Christmas wish list. Faith, a fox shifter, had had a crush on Tommy Conti, a white wolf shifter, since their teens. Tommy also had admired Faith from afar, believing himself not good enough for someone so kind and sweet.
Faith ran a coffee shop across the road from Tommy's Diner. She would catch glimpses of him through their windows. Faith fantasied about Tommy; he "was her perfect cup of coffee. Tall, dark and strong enough to keep her up all night". Living on the edge of Bearden, Tommy maintained a brooding lone wolf persona. This Christmas both Faith and Tommy are single. An opportunity not missed by Tommy's match making mother. But others work to keep them apart.
This is a quick read, sweet and sexy and totally enjoyable. A real feel good romance, with misunderstandings and some drama. Highly recommended.
This story is about the connection two people/shifters have had for each other throughout school and now as young adults. They own opposing shops in a top where others seem to enjoy pitting them against each other. So you have attraction, jealously, humour, love and family all thrown in to the mix. Cecilia Lane has used her skills to draw these things all together into a book that was very enjoyable to read. I received this book as a gift, and voluntarily review it here. Fun to read.
3.5 stars. What a lovely little story. Lots of annoying matchmakers, some naysayers, Christmas festivities, a meddling mother, a twin sister hiding secrets, all muddled up in one small town. Add in the aggravating ex-girlfriend, some hunky fireman who need their stories told and two very nice H’s and you have a winner. Have already grabbed the next book in this series to read.
